The other two schools have arrived, and they were all seated and getting ready for the welcoming feast when Dumbledore stood up to begin to speak.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, ghost and- most particularly guests," said Dumbledore, beaming around at the foreign students. "I have great pleasure in welcoming you all to Hogwarts. I hope and trust that your stay here will be both comfortable and enjoyable."

One of the Beauxbatons girls still clutching a muffler around her head gave what was unmistakably a derisive laugh.

"No one's making you stay!" Hermione whispered, bristling at her.

"The tournament will be officially opened at the end of the feast," said Dumbledore. "I now invite you all to eat, drink, and make yourselves at home!"

He sat down, and Harry saw Karkaroff lean forward at once and engage him in conversation.

The plate in front of them filled with food as usual. The house-elves in the kitchen seemed to have pulled out all the stops; there was a greater variety of dishes in front of them than Harry had ever seen, including several that were definitely foreign.

Just the Lily came walking into the great hall walked up to the staff table and sat next to her husband James.

"Hey glad you made it down here," said James to Lily.

"Yeah, I wanted to be down here before everyone arrived, but it took a while to walk down here had to keep taking breaks," said Lily turning to Dumbledore. "Does there really have to be that many steps to get down here Headmaster."

"I'm sorry Lily, I can set you and James up a room down here on this floor, so it be easier for you to get around if you wish," said Dumbledore.

"That would be fantastic sir thank you I have missed seeing all of you it makes me feel better if I can at least come to meals to see everyone," said Lily.

"The room will be set up as soon as the feast is over," said Dumbledore.

"Do you know what you're having yet?" Asked Hagrid.

"Yes, we just found out but waiting to make the announcement," said Lily.

"Why not making the announcement now to everyone have James shoot out the color of what you're having," said Dumbledore.

"OH no today is about our guests," said Lily.

Headmaster of the two other schools both agreed that they wanted her to make the announcement now they were also excited to know.

Dumbledore stood again.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I know the feast is not yet over, but this feast has turned to a celebration feast as well as a welcoming feast. Professor L. Potter has just found out what gender she is having," said Dumbledore smiling. "Professor J. Potter is about to shoot off a flare of what their having blue for boy and pink for girl so please give attention to the Potter's for a brief second."

James put his wand up in the air and shot off a spark. The spark was pink.

"VERY WELL THE POTTER'S ARE HAVING A GIRL CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH, now back to eating thank you for your time," said Dumbledore.

Everyone clapped and cheered.

"Have you decided on names yet?" Asked Professor McGonagall.

"No, we haven't really had a chance to discuss it, but we have decided that Remus will be godfather and were wondering if you Minerva would agree to be godmother," said Lily.
