Chapter thirteen Sirius Black Trial

They got back out of the whompin willow. The full moon was out and Remus started to turn to a Werewolf. James and Sirius went to help Lupin try to control his Transformation and Peter turned back into a rat and ran away.

James and Sirius chased after Lupin as he wasn't himself. Harry followed and they got down to a pond where dementors started attacking Sirius sucking the life out of him. Harry took out his wand.

"Expecto Patronum" yelled Harry.

It blocked a few but wasn't strong enough to keep them all away they kept coming. James turned back to his normal form.

"Together Harry."

"Expecto Patronum," they both yelled and made all the Dementor's go away.

They all quickly got back to the castle. They immediately went to Dumbledore's office.

"Dumbledore Peter is alive he did everything Sirius is innocent we have to ask for another trail to prove his innocence please," said James.

"I know he is I've already contacted the Ministry his trail will begin as soon as we get there Harry can come with us. I'll need you and Remus to." said Dumbledore.

A hour later they stood in the Ministry of Magic. Cornelius Fudge was there with a bunch of other Ministry people.

"I understand we have new evidence on the case of the Death Eater Sirius Black," said Fudge."

"Yes, sir I'm James Potter tonight we found Sirius, but he wasn't after Harry he was after Sirius Black. Me and Remus caught Peter but then he managed to escape. But Peter admitted to killing all the muggles to frame Sirius and my question is was Sirius wand checked that night to see if he did any spell that could do that type of damage."

"No, the evidence was strong enough where that wasn't needed," said Fudge.

"Well, I personally think that with the new evidence the charges to Sirius should be dropped."

"Raise your hand if Sirius should be clear of the murder charges," said Fudge.

Everyone raised their hands.

"Now as for the escaping charges five years in Azkaban."

"Minister with all due respect due to the thirteen years he served in Azkaban while being innocent, I think he should have time served for the escape as well."

"Hand for clear of all charges."

Everyone raised their hands again.

"Very well Sirius Black you are a free man now clear of all charges."

"Let's all get back to Hogwarts we will talk there," said Dumbledore.

They all were back in Dumbledore's office joined by Lily and McGonagall.

"Sirius Black your now free and I must ask if you would be interested in teaching Muggle Studies next year as it is Lily Potter is expecting another child and won't be able to teach next year."

"DUMBLEDORE YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS IN TO HAVING ALL THEM TEACH HERE," said Professor McGonagall.

"No Minnie he isn't Sirius I am."

"I need to retire," said McGonagall.

"I will teach Professor Dumbledore," said Sirius. "And congrats Lily I'm so happy to see you all again as a free man."

"McGonagall they all won't be teach Remus has handed in his resignation because he feels like parents' won't like the fact that their children are being taught by a werewolf so we will be in need of a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher again," said Professor Dumbledore. "You may all stay here at the castle for the summer with Harry, I hope it don't upset you Harry, but you will not be returning to the Dursley's this year. Also, the four Founders will also be staying here for the summer."

The term ended; Gryffindor won the house cup again. Ron asked if Harry could come stay for some of the summer for the Quidditch world cup.
