CHAPTER 3

BOMIN'S POV 

I chased after Daeyeol sunbae, " Wait! Sunbae! " I called out for him. He stopped his tracks and turned to look at me, " What do you want? " he asked. " I'm sorry for getting you in trouble " I apologised, catching my breath. He laughed as I looked down to the ground, I felt humiliated and embarrassed. He then stopped and looked at me, " I'm sorry for laughing, it's just that you're really cute. It could literally kill someone, you know "

I blushed at his compliment and gave him my usual smile, " How about I take you home, huh? " he offered and I accepted it. We walked side by side and left the school grounds to home. Along the way, we chatted about a few things as I got to know him better. I realised he was more than a pretty face and perfect body, he was wonderful. He was smart, kind, sweet, cool and funny too.

My heart has never beaten this fast, I took deep breaths to calm myself down. " Are you okay, Bomin? " he asked and I turned to my head look at him. " Y-yeah, I'm good " I stuttered and looked away, I can't believe I just stuttered in front my crush. That's so embarrassing! I said to myself before I realised where we were. We had arrived at my place, I saw my mother waiting at the door.

" Well, we're here. Thanks for walking me home, sunbae " I said and he chuckled. " Just call me, Daeyeol hyung. Don't need to be so formal, alright? " he replied and ruffled my hair. I blushed at the action as he bid farewell and walked into the distance. I waved at him and entered the gate, greeting my mother who waited for me. We walked inside and chatted with each other before I headed to change and rest.

THAT NIGHT (Author's pov)

Y laid on his bed and looked towards the ceiling, he was so distracted in his thoughts that he didn't hear his phone ringing. He snapped out of his head and grabbed his phone, " Hello? Who is this? " he answered. " Really? You didn't save my number, meanie " Bomin replied on the other side, Y mentally slapped himself. " What do you want, idiot? " he asked, " Rude. I just wanted to invite you to Daeyeol hyung's party tomorrow " the younger answered. 

" We have school tomorrow, idiot " Y stated and Bomin laughed, " So I'm the idiot, huh? Tomorrow's Saturday, dumbass. Party at 8:30 pm, Daeyeol's place ". Sungyoon stood from his bed and checked his calender, damn it! I can't go, I have a night shift that I have to fill in. " Sorry but I have some other plans that I can't avoid at that hour " Y responded. Bomin frowned at his reply, wait? Why am I sad? I should be thrilled that he's not going, he said to himself.

" Alright, have it your way then. Bye ", " Bye " he hung up and laid back on his bed. Man, I should've just said that I'd come. What a stupid move, Choi Sungyoon! he cursed at himself and threw his phone across the room. " Um...may I come in? " a voice called out and he turned to look towards the door. It was Junseo and Yohan, they'd come to visit. " Hey, guys. What are you doing here? "

" Well, Yohan hyung wanted to say that he thanks you for taking care of me while he was gone and he'd like to help tomorrow and fill in your shift " Junseo said happily and hugged Sungyoon. He looked at Yohan in disbelief, " Really? " he asked and Yohan nodded. " Why not? I mean I don't have any competitions coming so why not spend time with my baby fox " he replied and winked to Junseo. The younger blushed and hid himself in Y's arms as they both laughed.

" Wow, I don't know what to say " he said surprised, " I mean Bomin called me a while ago and invited me to Daeyeol's party but I told him I couldn't go cause of the shift " he told them. They shared a look at each other and smiled at him, " What are you guys smiling at? It's creepy " he stated. " Well, we just thought that because Yohan hyung decided to take your shift then maybe...you can go " Junseo said in excitement.

Yohan just chuckled at his boyfriend's gestures, " I mean he is right, hyung. You should go, take the chance and confess. Who knows, it might be better that way " Yohan said and Sungyoon thought for a while. They are right, I should at least try and tell him how I feel for him. What could go wrong? " Okay, I'll go to the party " Sungyoon confirmed, " Yeah!! " Junseo cheered as he jumped up and down.

The other two laughed at his foolishness and chatted for a little while before the two left for home as Junseo was barely able to stay awake. " Thank you, hyung. We'll go now " Yohan waved at Sungyoon and he waved back, " Bye, have a safe drive back. See you on our Sunday shift, Junseo " he said and closed the door. He headed to his room and sat on his bed, looking at his phone.

Should I call him and tell him that I'll go? Nah, he'll hate me for that. I'll just make it a surprise, he thought before placing his on the night stand and went to sleep. He couldn't wait to go to the party, he just hopes that it will go well with his confession.

TIME SKIP (1 hour before the party)

Sungyoon laid on his bed, scrolling through his phone when he heard the door bell ring. He was confused but shrugged it off and went to open the door. He saw Junseo and Seokhwa who had shopping bags in their hands, " What are you two doing here? Don't you have a shift, Junseo? " he asked. " Yeah but I thought we'd drop by to help with a few things " he replied and walked in, they all headed to Sungyoon's room and placed all the bags on the floor.

" What are those? " he asked perplexed, " They're your outfits, we went shopping and decided to buy a few outfits. Don't worry, you don't have to pay us a cent back. Just take them " Seokhwa said. Sungyoon was shocked, he didn't know his friends would do this much for him. " I know you're flattered but it's not the time to be. You have a party to get ready for " Junseo commented and handed him a few clothes to try on.

He took the clothes and headed to his bathroom to change, he freshened up a bit before so. He applied a bit of makeup, he didn't want it to be too obvious so he just made is as natural as he could. He did his hair a bit before getting into the clothes, they looked great on him. He smiled to himself in the mirror before walking to show his friends. " What do you think? " he asked and posed confidently. 

The two boys gasped, " Woah...you look great, hyung! " Junseo shrieked and hugged Sungyoon while jumping up and down. He chuckled shyly at the compliment, " He's right, hyung. With this outfit, you're bound to be the first thing to catch people's eye " Seokhwa added on. Hearing that boosted Sungyoon's confidence, " Thanks you two but I think someone has to had to their shift before they're late " he joked as they both looked to Junseo.

" Huh? " the younger was confused and checked his phone, he had 10 minutes left before his shifts starts, " Oh shoot, I better go now. Come on, hyung. Good luck at the party! " he screamed out the door and Seokhwa followed. They both chuckled at the youngest's foolishness before bidding farewell as the youngsters left. Sungyoon sighed and plopped himself on the couch, still too early to go. I'll watch some TV then I'll leave for the party.
