"Well aren't you a little Goofball?"
"So what do I do?" she asked, looking at you questioningly.
You smiled softly, sitting on the beach. "As I said, I'm not a dragon so I can't say exactly. But we should start with smaller things. Try moving your wings up and down."
The knee-high little dragon on the sand raised the base of her wings up in the air, the rest following soon after. She grinned excitedly, starting to move them up and down quicker and quicker. "This is so much easier than I expected it to be!"
You chuckled, eyeing the little green dragon fondly. "Is it now, Leaf?"
"Yeah!" she yelled in answer, a little sandstorm starting to rise around her as she started spinning around. "THIS IS AWESOME! AAAH!" What made her yell was her actually rising off of the ground. In a panicked instant, she stopped flapping her wings and fell to the ground, landing on her belly. She jumped to her feet, shaking the sand off of herself before running to you. "Did you see that?! I flew, I actually flew!"
"Yeah, you did," you smiled, kneeling down and patting her head. "I'm really proud of you, Little Goofball." She smiled broadly, nuzzling her head into your touch.
