"Are things going well between you and Chan?"
I was startled by his sudden question. I wanted to tell him so badly about it but I don't want to cause chaos between them friends.
"What do you mean? We're doing well, like always.", I huffed and looked down.
"Are you sure?", He asked again and I started breaking down as I couldn't control my tears.
"Something IS wrong. Are you okay?", He asked and I just shook my head while crying loudly in front of him. He moved his chair next to me and side hugged me.
"Are things really going well between you two?", He asked again
"I-I don't know.", I said while crying.
"I saw you two the other day in the rooftop. I noticed you had bruises in your arm the day after. And the next day your here crying. Mind if you tell me?", He said.
Hyunjae to me wasn't just my brother's friend but my friend as well. Since my brother was friends with him since I was a little girl, I got very close with Hyunjae too but I started avoiding him little by little after they met Chan and I started having a crush on him. Hyunjae may be noisily annoying and naughty but Hyunjae was someone who comforted me a lot when I was little. Everytime Younghoon scolded me and I cried, he was there to say comforting words and it's been a while since he did so.
"I-I don't know. It's just that Chan seems different these days but I think he's just stressed because of school. I mean, you guys are seniors now and you have to prepare for college so maybe I think he's kinda sensitive because of that.", I said.
"Your bruises...Are they from Chan?', Hyunjae asked and I didn't give an answer.
"Yeonwoo-yah. If he hurt you then that's not right. I saw him grabbing your collar and that's not right. Think about it...", He said.
"I want to understand him.", I said.
"Kim Yeonwoo. If it's too much for y-"
"HE ISN'T THAT TYPE OF PERSON", I cut him off.
"He could be going through something and I want to wait for him to tell me what's wrong.", I said and he looked at me with worried eyes. I then stood up to leave while holding the bag of snacks he payed for.
"I'll go first... Thanks for paying.", I said and went home.

Hyunjae's POV
I was suprised by what Yeonwoo said. It's obvious that Chan was hurting her mentally and physically. Chan IS my friend and i've never seen that side of him before. Maybe I should talk to him and ask him what's wrong. Like Yeonwoo said, he might be stressed from school.
I walked back home and got changed. I wanted to go out for a while and study at the library. I went to a cafe in front of the library to get coffee first and as soon as I opened the door to the cafe, I spotted Chan at the other side of the road. He must be studying too. I thought. He went another way while I crossed the road and went to the library. I left after 3 hours of studying. Instead of taking the bus or calling for a taxi home, I decided to walk since I was tired of sitting for hours in the library.
While walking, I noticed a familiar figure near. Chan... It was Chan. So I tried calling him and he picks up his phone but I noticed it wasn't connected with mine. I then took a few steps so I could go and greet him but suddenly a girl comes and hugs him. So I stepped back and just watched. Chan was smiling and so was the girl. They seemed like a couple but the problem was.... THAT WAS NOT KIM YEONWOO.
