Yeonwoo's POV

As soon as I got off stage, I felt more nervous than when I was performing. My seniors begged me to join the competition since there was no one to represent our department. I couldn't bring myself to tell any of my friends because I was embarassed but I was satisfied with my performance regardless.

"Kim Yeonwoo~ You Slayed! Thank you for helping us out~ I swear if you win, you'll get the cash prize.", one of my seniors said.

"Thank you Seonbae! I'll get going first", I smiled and bowed slightly to thank him for the compliment.

"Yah! Kim Yeonwoo!!", Younghoon shouted.

"You're good~ Why'd you have to suprise us like that??", Kevin said and I just smiled.

"Wah~~ You'll really win!! You're SOO GOOD!!", Changmin was shaking me while talking. I looked over to Juyeon who was just standing there...staring as if he was frozen. We made eye contact, I tilted my head, and he was still frozen. Someone suddenly tapped my shoulder and I broke my eye contact with him.

"Yah! You were cool...", Hyunjae said slowly.

"So who's better now?", I said.

"But I still am better than you!", Hyunjae said and I just laughed at his words.

The others kept telling me that I did well and I was cool, including Juyeon. After all, the world was once again, too fast for him. After a while, it was finally the announceming of the winners and I did not expect the results to come out like that.

"Now to announce the winner of the modern dance group competition, Group No. 3, THE BOYZ!!! Congratulations!", The announcer said and the boyz all started jumping around and laughing.

They looked so happy that they won, so as they received the cash prize and their trophy, they all pulled me with them on stage to take picture.

"To announce the winner of the solo dance category,"

"Yah! I'm sure it's Yeonwoo"
"KIM YEONWOO! KIM YEONWOO!", The Boyz were already making noise before they announced the name.

"Congratulation, KIM YEONWOO of the Biology Department!!", the announcer said my jaw dropped because I did jot expect to win. The Boyz were shouting and screaming (one of them like a dolphin). They were all just so chaotic and I froze cause I couldn't believe that I won. I ran to the stage to get my reward and take my pictures. As soon as I left the stage I received a hug from each of the boyz.

"Congrats~", Juyeon said.

"Mm~ You too!", I said as he opened his arms and I hugged him.

*time skip*

One week after the festival, I could say, the boyz gained so much popularity in school that girls would start talking shit about me for hanging out with them but I didn't really care. We all agreed to use the prize money for a trip when we got a break from school. I was hanging out with Juyeon as usual at a cafe near the school.

"Juyeon-ah.."

"Hmm?"

"Now that you're popular at school, why don't get a girlfriend?", I teased him for being popular.

"No!", He said firmly.

"Why?"

"I have someone I like, but she doesn't like me.", the moment he said that, my mind just went blank. I knew he wasn't talking about me, cause I think I was quite obvious in showing how I felt for him.

"There's nothing I could do though...Maybe she really just wants to study first.", Juyeon said.

"So you got rejected?", I asked.

"No...I haven't even confessed.", he looked sad while saying that.

"Why?"

"I'm scared...She's kind, pretty, smart, and on top of that someone that means a lot to me. I want the best for her and I don't think I could give her that yet", Juyeon said.

"That hurts..", I mumbled to myself.

I felt Juyeon's sincerity for the girl he liked. It may not be me, I, too, wanted the best for Juyeon and I noticed that I wasn't in the best form either to be giving someone my all. Especially after what happened. Maybe it really is best to ease what I was feeling for Juyeon. For the sake of our friendship and for mine and his future careers.

We have big dreams and it's best to focus on that. I wouldn't want to make the same mistake I did before.
