Exams came and I didn't really hear anything from Chan for the past few days. Maybe cause he was also busy studying or doing other stuff😒.

I felt less nervous for the exam thanks to his text. So I took a deep breathe and went to the exam room.

*Time skip*

The exams are finally done and it distracted me from everything about Chan. I haven't seen or texted him ever since exams started but now that exams are done. I'm thinking of ways I could end things with him. It was the weekend and I decided to stop by the store for ice cream. I went by the counter and once again noticed a familiar figure. Hyunjae was there but this time, he forgot his wallet so I payed for his items while he waited for me outside.

"Thank you~ I guess we're even now.", He said.

"I don't think so...I still have to pay you for the coffee in the library.", I answered.

"Ahh~ You don't have to"

"Huh? Why?"

"I really wanted to buy for you guys that time", Hyunjae answered and I gave him a weird look.

"So...what are you going to do now?", he asked.

I was confused so I asked, "What do you mean?"

"About Chan, what are you going to do?"

"I'm gonna talk to him and break up. Won't do me any good if I stay with him"

"What about Younghoon? Did you tell him about it?", He asked.

"I'll tell him after I end things with Chan. I think it's better that way.....

...But,"

"But what?"

"i'm scared....I don't exactly know how Chan would react.", I said.

"Then...I'll be there. I incase he hurts you, i'll protect you.", Hyunjae said. I was flustered at his words and it again somehow made me less nervous but it I though it was weird for him to do such thing for me.

"It's okay... I want to handle this on my own. You've helped me enough. I would've had a worse reaction if you didn't warn me ahead of time. Thank You but this time i'll muster up some courage and do it myself.", I answered.

He stood up and smiled and said, "Okay, but if you ever need help, call me anytime. Juyeon is asking where he's snacks are so I'll go first.", he then left and I decided to go for a walk.

"Hyung", Juyeon said.

"Yeah, why?"

"You.."

"Hm?"

"Your friends with Chan Hyung right?", Juyeon asked and I totally did not want to say he was my friend but I had no choice.

"Yeah, why?"

"What kind of person is he?", Juyeon asked.

"Why are you asking?"

"Just because..."

"Just because what?", I asked

"Kim Yeonwoo..... she's been acting different lately.", Juyeon said.

"What do you mean?", I wanted to pretend I didn't know but afterall even though Juyeon was closer to her, she probably had reasons not to tell him or Hoyoung.

"It's just. I saw a few bruises on her arms, she looks like she's trying so hard to put on a smile, and on top of that, she fainted while preparing for exams because she didn't sleep. Just incase, Chan Hyung...when she looks at her, it's a bit.....different. Do you know anything?", Juyeon said. I shook my head but I couldn't hide my expression.

"Hyung, Tell me. It's about my friend and I want to help her", Juyeon said.

I got caught... Why did our bloodline have to be this smart? I thought.

"I don't really know where Yeonwoo's bruises are from. She didn't exactly tell me that Chan did it but-", I realized that I was saying too much.

"She told you?! But not us? And you knew but didn't tell me? Waahhh... I feel betrayed", I could say that Juyeon was frustrated now that he knows it was Yeonwoo who told me.

"No...I saw them by accident so I talked to Yeonwoo. I thought she'd tell you guys too but she probably had her reasons.", I explained.

"Tell me everything you saw", Juyeon said and he looked very worried and serious. I had no choice but to tell him. After all, we were close as cousins and he was Yeonwoo's best friend.

"What part should I tell him? How Chan grabbed her collar after seeing her with you guys or Chan cheating on her?", I mumbled to myself a bit too loud being the loud person I usually am.

"WHATT?!?!?", Juyeon exclaimed and I covered my mouth.
