I was at home since I had no classes left in the afternoon. Everything was chill and I was just playing music while working out just until the music stopped playing when my phone rang. Kim Yeonwoo...why is she calling??
Me: Hello?
Yeonwoo: Are you free right now? Let's go see the sunset...
Me: Where are you? I'll pick you up rn You're at school right? Wait for me outside school!!
I was smiling as I immediately changed to casual clothes and got my car keys. I was just excited about the fact that I get to see her. But...her voice was kinda different so I was also worried. I picked her up and the first thing I noticed was her swollen eyes.
Did she cry? I said in my mind.
"Are you okay?", I said slowly while looking at her worriedly.
"Just...Can you drive for now?", she said while looking down and so I started driving. It was silent the whole time I was driving and she was just staring outside the window. We arrived at our destination and I parked the car.
"But...don't you have classes?", I asked.
"It's okay...I won't be able to focus anyways.", she responded and opened the door. She immediately ran to shore so I followed her and she took a deap breathe.
"Wahhh!! The air here is really nice..", she said with her arms spread.
"What happened? Why'd you suddenly call me?", I asked.
"I talked with Juyeon...but I couldn't even face him properly.", she said with a slight smile on her face.
"Are you still avoiding him?"
"I don't know...I want to but I keep missing his prescence.", she answered.
"So what will you do now?"
"I wanna bring back things to how they were. I'm gonna stop avoiding him. It might be the best way for me to move on.", she said while looking down.
"You're...not confessing?", I asked.
"I'm not. That'll just complicate things. And i'll only confess once i'm ready to commit to dating.", she said.
"Ahhh~", I expressed and then heard something boil beside me. I looked at Yeonwoo and she was looking at me while holding her stomach.
"Sorry~ I haven't had lunch yet.", she said shyly.
I paid for our food and then we went back to the shore to wait for the sun to set but after all there was still 3 hours left for it to start going down. We sat at the sand for a while to listen to the sound of the waves. I then noticed Yeonwoo was removing her shoes and folding her pants.
"What are you doing?", I asked looking at her actions.
"I wanna walk on the shore.", she said. She stood up and suddenly reached out her hand.
"Why?", I said while pointing at her hand.
"You should come with me. You can't just keep sitting there. Remove your shoes and fold your pants.", she said and I did so.
We were walking by the shore and felt the waves splash through our feet. It was peaceful and we were just reminiscing our memories as kids.
"Oppa...Do you remember that?", she said while laughing.
"What?", I asked.
"When we were eating cup noodles and you suddenly snee-"
"YAH!!! Don't bring that up! It's embarassing!!", I yelled.
"It was such a sight HAHHAHA", she laughed.
"YAH!!", I yelled and she started running.
"CUP NOODLES~~~", she stopped running and shouted from afar.
"YAH KIM YEONWOO!!!", I said and then started running after her. As expected, I was a lot faster than her when came to running so when I came near her, she spashed me with water.
"HAHA YAH!!", I said as I finally hugged her by the waist.
"I caught you.", I said and she was just laughing.
"Let go~~~", she whined.
"I can't! If I let go, you'll run again.", I said.
"So what if I'll run again?"
"You'll trip...", I said while still hugging her waist from behind.
"Oppa...You know what?", she said.
"What?"
"Whoever will date you would be so lucky. I bet she'd be the happiest woman on Earth.", she said and I let go of her.
"Why so sudden?", I said in a serious tone.
"A-ah...I just thought of it. You're good at comforting, you're very sincere, you're funny and...", she said and I subconsciously started to smile at her compliment.
"Handsome", she mumbled but I understood her words.
"and what?"
"Nothing~", she said and started walking away.
