So, I started watching Daredevil (I just finished S1) with my bf and I've found a new man to fuel my ADHD induced hyper-fixation. I watched Jessica Jones along time ago and always intended to follow up with Daredevil, The Punisher and then Iron Fist but life got... well life-y yanno. Anyway, no I haven't seen NWH yet and yes I can't wait to see my man in that too. I MEAN LOOK AT THAT LITTLE CINNAMON ROLL

"Karen, can you please bring me the file for-" Foggy was interrupted by the knock on their front door, his feet quickly carrying him out to stand by the blonde woman, both of whom were staring at the door in shock. "We should answer that." He muttered, clearing his throat.

"Yes, or I will." Came another voice, Foggy rolling his eyes as Matthew stood from his desk. Foggy moved to the door, grabbing the handle and pulling it up, the wood letting out a heinous creak that made all three of them wince.

Standing in the hall was a woman, hood up and gaze at the ground, her face completely out of view. Matthew was immediately on edge, his ears picking up the slow, calm heartbeat, but also the vibration of her hands, that were stuffed in her pockets.

"Uh..." Foggy started, stepping back. "Welcome to Nelson and Murdock, are you after a lawyer?" The woman hummed as she stepped into the room at Foggy's request. Once Foggy had closed the door, her head lifted and her hood fell back.

Foggy and Karen gasped as they realized who they were looking at, their mouths falling open in shock. Matthew frowned, walking further into the main room. "Your YN YLN." Matthew stilled, his back straightening as he caught on to what was happening. "The Belladonna."

"YN is fine." YN muttered, licking her lips and looking severely uncomfortable. "I need your help."

"Why would an Avenger need our help?" Matthew asked, leaning in the doorway of his office nonchalantly. "Wouldn't your boss have someone hired for that?"

"My boss is dead. And I'm no longer an Avenger." The silence in the room was thick as YN removed her glasses, revealing a bruised face. "I need your help proving Alexander Pierce killed him."

------------------------

YN was sipping a water in the main room as the three friends stared through the window. Her eyes were following the words on a magazine, but she wasn't focusing, instead unable to shake the uncomfortable feeling of eyes on her.

"What if she poison's us with her... thing?" Foggy whispered, and YN rolled her eyes, not letting on that she could hear them.

"It's a good point, why would Alexander Pierce, former Secretary of Defense, kill the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D?" Matthew's foot tapped quickly on the ground and YN frowned, her head turning to the side.

"I think she's gone AWOL, trying to get as many kills in before she's arrested for murdering her own boss." Foggy whispered, nodding his head dramatically. YN rolled her eyes, tutting quietly, knowing someone would pick up on it. Her foot tapped in thin air, her hand coming up in front of her face so that she could inspect her nails, giving the appearance of boredom.

"I think you need to be quiet, because she can definitely hear you insulting her." Matthew spoke evenly, standing back up onto his feet. "Miss. YLN."

YN sighed, standing up and moving to lean against a desk. Her arms were folded in front of her, and two of the three thought it was in defiance, but Matthew could smell the adrenaline and the cortisol pouring from her, it was a defense, the woman was scared.

"We'll help you." He said, clearing his throat.

"You will?"

"We will?" YN frowned, sending a look to the other two. Foggy cleared his own throat, straightening his back. "I mean, we will. To do this, we will need all the information you have on Pierce and a statement as to how you know he was involved..." Foggy trailed off as YN paled, her nose crinkling.

"Uh, yeah about that..." YN whispered, looking down to her hands. The room watched her nervously sort through her words, unable to believe someone as bad ass as the Belladonna was nervous. "I have proof he did it."

"Great!" Foggy grinned, his belief in YN's story growing. His two friends sighed and his grin fell into a frown. "Is that not great?"

"Who has it?" Karen asked, leaning against her desk in the main room. "I assume you don't, otherwise you wouldn't be here talking to us." YN paused and Matthew listened to the rapid increase of her heart. As she moved, Matthew breathed out slowly, the air filling with the taste of copper.

He moved to her side slowly, lifting his hand to feel for her shirt. YN was as still as a beam as Matthew got closer. "You're hurt."

"It's a small graze." YN whispered, shaking her head. "Had to jump from five stories up when they-" YN choked, licking her lips. "They stormed my apartment, killed Fury right in front of me." YN shook her head. "I have hidden cameras set up... in my apartment. Pierce was there, it's all sitting pretty, waiting for someone to get them."

YN's hand fell onto Matthew's and the man paused, his eyebrows furrowed before he realized what YN truly wanted. "Can you guys give us a minute? I'm going to help YN with her wound."

"Matt..." Foggy said slowly. "I know you're trying to impress the really cool, really hot-" YN raised an eyebrow. "Sorry beautiful lady... but how are you going to help her clean a wound you can't even see?" Matthew sighed defeatedly, turning to give Foggy a blank stare. The man held up his hands and glanced at Karen, who watched YN and Matthew closely.

"C'mon, Foggy, we'll go grab some coffee." YN waited for the two of them to leave the room before she sighed, leaning back on her perch on Matthew's desk.

"You're a good actor, perhaps a change in career?" Matthew didn't say anything as he lifted YN's shirt, his fingers dancing across her skin gingerly. "This place is a shit hole."

"Not all of us can dance around in spandex and smile for the camera's, Bella." YN smirked, her head cocking to the side.

"I thought you liked my spandex?" She pretended to pout. It didn't last long as she yelped, her hand coming down to smack Matthew's away. "That hurt, asshole."

"Sorry, can't exactly see what I'm doing." YN rolled her eyes at the sarcastic comment, huffing under her breath. "What made you think coming here was a good idea?" Matthew hissed, stepping closer as if the walls were listening. "You could blow this whole thing for me."

The Avenger swallowed, her confidence slowly leaking from her and Matthew could smell the dopamine slowly fading from her person. The woman stared at Matthew, her breath held tightly in her chest. The way Matthew looked at her always put her on edge, but it was never a bad thing. She always felt like she was teetering on the edge of falling off something, yet it wasn't scary, she was almost excited to step off.

"They shot him." YN whispered, her hands shaking in her lap. "Right in front of me, they shot him point blank in the head." Matthew sighed, placing his hands on his hips. "The only reason I wasn't next was because I-" YN stopped, licking her lips. She opened her mouth to start again, but the words were stuck and YN couldn't dislodge them.

"It's okay..." Matthew whispered, stepping forward and brushing hair from YN's face. "Take your time." He murmured, his hands lowering to encase hers.

"I was able to sway a guard, turned him on the others." YN grimaced, looking down as a tear fell from her eye. "I ran... I ran... I left his body there for them to discard like some piece of junk." YN choked, a sob crawling up her throat. "Why did I do that?"

"Because you're scared," Matthew started, giving YN a warning look when she tried to argue. "You were scared because you panicked. They just shot the man who has taken care of you for years, YN. You had a right to panic." YN whined, lowering her head. "How many bodies will we find on that tape?" Another pathetic noise left YN's mouth and her hand came up to cover it.

Matthew lifted his own hands to place them at the back of YN's head, pulling her close to his chest and pressing a kiss to her head. "I'll look after you," he whispered, pulling her head up so that she could meet his eye. "You know I always will." He finished, pressing their foreheads together, stopping the closing distance, as he always did.

Did someone say a part two? Ok sure :)
