I'm sorry...

Arisu and Usagi explored the underground train system trying to find the game masters' hideout. The two started their way down the train tracks. They walked until they reached an open door.

It looked like it had been purposely let ajar, due to there being a code required to open it.

The hallway was long and dimly lit. They stopped once they came to a vast abyss. A cylindrical structure of screens sat in the middle of the room. The inside is lit by only a few fluorescent lights.

There were bodies slouched down in the chairs at the desks. All were incapacitated by a single laser to the head.

"Are you serious?" Arisu whispered to Usagi in disbelief as they continued to look around before getting spooked by a sudden voice.

"You actually found this place." Arisu shifted the light to the opposing entrance.

"As expected from someone I have high hopes for." Chishiya and Kuina revealed themselves. The drooping of his shoulders went unnoticed when he realized his lover was with them.

He hadn't seen the man since the Ten of Hearts game. He hadn't shown up to the gathering of survivors and Chishiya didn't want to think that he was dead. He couldn't be. He'd survive just out of pure spite to the-now dead-game masters.

"We meet again. Thanks to you guys, I have all the numbered cards with me." He held up the nearly complete stack. "Thank you."

"How did you discover this place?" Arisu couldn't help but ask.

Chishiya pulled a small piece of paper out of his pocket. It took me some time to realize that this is actually the route map of a subway station."

He shrugged his shoulders with his hands in his pocket. "What happens when we collect all of the playing cards?" He walks closer to the two. "I thought I would know the answer after coming here."

He stopped next to Arisu and faced forwards.

"But there's one thing I discovered-" Arisu interjected.

"They are not game masters."

"Right." Chishiya gave the boy a small smirk before inhaling deeply. "Judging from the fact that they were all killed after our victory. They're humans like us, and on top of that, there's someone above them." Maybe more than one.

Usagi was next to speak. "Just who could they be?"

Chishiya shrugged, "Who knows? They might be aliens. Or even God himself."

The makeshift group were startled by the sudden illumination of the room. The playing card symbols were displayed largely on the screen.

"Special Urgent Broadcast"

A feminine silhouette can be seen from the neck down. A table sat in front of them. A complete game was set on a chess board.

"Congratulations to all players."

Kuina spoke up in confusion. "What?"

"Interesting."

The camera panned upward and in focus. Mira.

"With the exception of the face card games, all of you have cleared all the numbered games so far and emerged the victors."

"A sweet victory you've grasped by sacrificing numerous lives. I wonder..."

"How many of your comrades have died?"

"Try remembering...

those that were shot dead with a gun."
