Re-Meeting the Madrigals

There will be a little swearing bc I think it's funny :p

"Bruno please" I whisper

"Mija" He sighs, I'm not actually his daughter, my dad and him were friends and when my parents had to leave Bruno took me in. We lived with the Madrigals until Bruno got fed up with Alma he left and took me. Except he didn't go far, inside the wall to be exact. He never lets me leave in fear that his family will see me. I sigh and slouch against the chair. "I would love to let you go but it's to dangerous" He says

"Please" I beg "I'll be back by eleven and I'll sneak in and out."

"Y/n-"

"Please just think about it, I'm fifteen I need some sort of human interaction" I say and he looks at his rats. Only one other person knows about us and that's Dolores, since she can hear everything it'd be impossible to live here without her knowing.

"Okay" He says I sit up
"Wait really?" I ask and he smiles
"Sure, you can go out a little more. You're old enough" I run up and hug him.
"Thank you so much" Even though I'm fifteen I'm almost taller than him. He kisses my cheek and we walk to an opening outside. I slip out and sneak into the town. I walk around when I bump into someone
"Oh I'm so sorry" The girl says, Mirabel
"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking" I say and she pushes up her glasses.

"You look familiar," she says, tilting her head. I'm in trouble. I laugh nervously
"That's odd" I muse "I just moved here"
"Oh!" She exclaims "let me show you around" and takes my hands. We walk around and she tells me everything, I already know of course but I pretend to be amazed.
"Wow, that's amazing" I say and she smiles

"Hey my cousin is having his gift ceremony, you wanna come?"
"I'd love to" I say and she grabs my hands and leads me back to the house. I smile at everyone and Mirabel introduces me. Luisa lifts me up by my waist and examines my face.

"I feel like I know you" 

"Yeah I get that alot" I say with a smile and she puts me down. We walk up to Mirabel's room and she throws dresses at me

"Try these on" I put on a white shirt that's tight around my waist and falls off my shoulders, a dark purple skirt and black espadrilles (sandals that has a strap that tie around your ankles)

"That looks amazing on you!" Mirabel says and pushes me into a chair "now for your hair" she says and puts product in it. She shakes out my hair and scrunches up. 

"Mirabel!" I exclaim and hug her tightly "thank you so much" She takes my hand and pulls me out.

"You're gonna help me set up"
"Sure!" I say and she smiles. She hands me a basket of stuff and starts unloading it.

"Hola Mami" Maribel says to Julieta

"Hola Mija, who's your friend?"

"This is, actually didn't catch your name" Mirabel says and I laugh
"I'm Y/n" their smiles drop. Shit. Shit. "Is everything okay?" I ask slowly

"Yes dear, we just had a family situation with an Y/n years and years ago" Julieta says, my heart is pounding
"May I ask what happened?"
