Engagement

Why would she say something like that? She can't make me marry someone I don't love, I'm with her grandson! I'm not even related to her! I groan and lay on my side, someone knocks on the door and I open it. Isa stands there

"Can I come in?" She asks and I let her in. "I heard what happened with Abuela and well the whole thing" she sits on my bed and I sit beside her.
"Why would she do something like that?" I ask and Isa takes my hands in hers

"I know exactly what you're feeling" I look at her

"I love Camilo, why- why would she want to break us up?"

"I" She pauses "I don't know" Why is Isa here? I look at her "I'm probably not helping am I?" I shake my head slightly and she laughs breathily "I just- If you want someone to talk to, you can talk to me. I know what you're going through" I smile at her and she leaves. I rub my eyes and pace around my room. I pace for a long time until Mirbael opens my door.
"Dinner"

"Not hungry" I say and spin around

"Okay" She hesitates and leaves. An hour goes by and I change into shorts and a sweatshirt. I toss and turn in bed, I can't sleep. I get out of bed and sneak into the kitchen, I grab an arepa and sit on the counter and eat it. It's quiet, I finish and sneak back upstairs. I hear hushed voices coming from Camilo's room. Does he have someone in there? He wouldn't do that. Would he? My heart pounds and I walk closer

"She can't do that" Camilo says

"Sh"

"No! Abuela can't control Y/n. She can't force her to marry some one. She's mine" Camilo says and I walk away. I go into my room and eventually doze off. I wake up to Bruno shaking my shoulder

"Wake up Hija" I get up and he leaves, I change into a white tank top and sage green skirt that's stops at my calves. I tie my sandals on and put my hair in a ponytail. I walk down and Julieta hugs me.

"How about you help me with my stand today?" She asks and I nod, we walk out and go to town. I set up her stand and she ties an apron around herself. I hand out areps to people and I see Mirabel, Dolores and Antonio run into the forest. I see Tyler rush up to Casita

"Go" Julieta says and I chase him. I hide behind the wall

"Tyler, how good to see you" Alma says and I clench my hands in fists

"It's lovely to see you, I just had some questions about my um engagement to Y/n"

"Oh yes! It will be so good for the encanto, you're children will bring many gifts" Alma says happily

"Right...right" He trails off "Um, isn't Y/n with Camilo?"
"Oh si but he won't marry her. She is not good enough for my nieto." I hold my breath, of course she isn't sorry. Why would she be?
"But she's good enough for me? I don't want you rejects" He says, his voice full of venom.

"You're calling off the engagement?"
