Camilo's Party

I love him, I really do. I take out my hair and start brushing in, what is Sienna planning? I sigh and shake my hair, it's still wet. I change into sweatpants and a sweatshirt and close my window. I grab an extra blanket from my closet and lay it on my bed. It's never this cold in the Encanto. I breathe out and pace around. Something is wrong, I just don't know what it is. I sit in my bed and read, trying to calm my nerves. I hate to admit it but I'm worried about Sienna. What if she tries something really bad when we're alone? I can fight back but if she does, my thoughts are cut off when someone knocks on my door.

"Yeah?" I yell. Dolores pops her head in and she comes in.

"Are you okay? I heard you pacing" She says sitting on my bed
"Yeah I'm fine" I say, not convincingly though because she gives me a 'are you serious right now' look

"You're worried about those siblings?" I sigh and nod
"Yeah, I just don't want to get hurt. I know that's selfish but I don't know" I

"Y/n, you wanting to be safe is not selfish. Okay? Everyone around town is wary of them especially after they heard about the attack" Dolores says and I nod "no one is going to believe them over you and my brother" I nod again and she hugs me "sleep well" she closes the door softly.

~Time skip~

I wake up and perk up. It's Camilo's party today, his actual birthday is tomorrow, he didn't want the party on his birthday which is understandable. I get up and look at the outfit he chose. It's still gloomy around the Encanto so he picked out a thicker yellow skirt and a long sleeve white shirt. I look in the mirror and I shake out my hair, my natural waves hang around my face. I don't normally wear yellow but since it's Camilo's birthday I made an exception. I tie my boots on and twist my ring around my finger. I take a breath and look in the mirror. I look tired, I have bags under my eyes. I rub my face and walk out into the kitchen.

"Do you need help?" I ask as I tie an apron around my waist Julieta slides raw eggs in front of me and I start cooking them. I make ten omelets and start on the toast.

"You have no idea how much of a help you are" She says and kisses my hair

"Anytime" I say and put my apron on the hook. I start hanging up lanterns around Casita

"Buenos Dias Amor" I say as Camilo walks out of his room,

"Good morning Mi Vida" he says and kisses my cheek. "I like the yellow on you" he says, looking me up and down. I grab his arm and pull him to the table, we sit down and everyone starts eating.

"So Hijo, are you excited for your party?" Pepa asks and Camilo nods. Everyone is excited, I am too. I'm just worried Sienna and Tyler are going to do something to ruin Camilo's party.

~Time skip to the actual party~

I'm put on guest greeting along with Isa. Thankfully it stopped raining. I shake hands and hug people. They smile at me and walk in

"Senor, welcome" I say, shaking a tall man's hand "Come in, come in" I say and hug a woman and little girl. I hug a young boy, thirteen? He turns red and hurries away from me. I wait twenty minutes in case there is anyone left behind but no one shows up. I go inside, lively music is playing, the lanterns are lighting the place up nicely. Everyone is dressed in warmer clothes despite there being no rain it's still cold, coldest I remember it being. I see Mirabel talking to the boy from before and they start dancing. I see Camilo talking to a group of younger kids and they're all giving him cards. I laugh and grab a drink. I stand on the side until Camilo strolls up to me and offers me his hand. I put my cup down and he pulls me onto the dance floor. We dance for a few songs. It's just us dancing and people clap and cheer

"Ay dios mio" I mutter and Camilo laughs
"Soak it up Mi Vida" He exclaims and dips me. The song ends and people clap louder. We stand by the side as other people dance, I hold my cup in my hands and scan the room. I take a sip and Camilo runs off to play with the kids. He really is a people person, god I love him. My stomach churns and I groan. I put my cup down and walk around, talking to people.

~After the party~

I start cleaning up, my stomach swirls around clearly upset with something I ate.

"Go to sleep Mi Vida" Camilo says and kisses my forehead. I go upstairs and change into my pajamas, I fall into bed and fall asleep. I wake up at six and my stomach lurches. I run to the bathroom and kneel over the toilet. After I'm done I lean back, making sure the door is locked and I groan. I shuffle back into my room and lean against the door, out of breath. What is happening to me? I lay on my side, away from my door and stare at the bookcase. I lay there for a long time until my door opens.
"Wake up Mi Vida" Camilo says sweetly and I roll over

"Morning Amor" I say and force a smile

"Are you okay?" He asks, sitting by my butt. I sit up and I nod
"Of course" I lie, I can't ruin his birthday "Do you feel older?" I ask and he smiles
"Not really" he says and puts his face in my pillow as I get changed. A thick green skirt with pant things underneath and a white sweater. I put my hair in a messy bun and tie my boots. We walk out and we go to breakfast. I don't eat much, afraid that it'll just come back up

"Is everything okay Hija?" Bruno asks I snap my head up

"Oh yeah, just not really hungry" I say and take a sip of water
"How come?" Felix asks and I shrug

"I dunno" I move my food around so it looks like I ate. After breakfast Camilo and I go up to my room. He lays on my bed and I slouch against the headboard. He rests his head on my chest, arms around my waist. I mindlessly run my fingers through his hair
