Chapter 28

Kim Taehyung

Am I that easy for her to throw away? Maybe I was wrong, maybe this wasn't love anyway. She never deserved me. I have been nothing but true in my intentions and it took her less than a second to break my heart. Just like that. I was a fool to trust her with my heart.

Even though I hate her for doing this to me, I don't think I would be able to stop loving her. Was the Seon Ra I knew all an illusion? Was she a cold-hearted monster after all? I guess so.

I reach my home in a daze and just lie on my bed as I try to make sense of what happened. At least she was right about one thing: we were never meant to be. She never loved me. I have been an idiot thinking that she did. What am I supposed to do with our matching couple outfits? What am I supposed to do with our memories? I don't know.

And just like that, I am calling her. She picks up.

"Hmm?", she asks so casually as if she didn't just break my heart a few minutes ago.

It infuriates me as I start to feel myself losing control of my anger.

"You are such a bitch, you know? All you have ever done is break people around you. Me, Dong Wook, Ryujin... you are breaking all of us. Does it feel good to be that cruel? Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, fuck you."

"You are the idiot here. If you already knew how I was, why did you fall for me? I was going to leave you from the start, that's who I am. Too bad you realized it a little late.", she says and it feels like she's smiling.

How did I misjudge her this bad?

I am so angry that I just hang up. I am so done with her. I am so done. I don't want to see her face ever again. Well, I guess I would see her in school tomorrow. She better not cross any lines because I might kill her.

Chae Seon Ra

As I make my way downstairs, I hear my mom and Mrs. Kim arriving. I am wearing glasses so no one can see I have been crying.

"Where is he?", asks Mrs. Kim.

I clear my throat before saying, "He had some work to finish, so he went home."

"That's weird.", says Mrs. Kim.

I just quickly leave the house for a walk in the park.

Maybe I am using the circumstances as an excuse, maybe I actually am just a monster. I wouldn't put it past me to break the heart of the one I love the most. Correction: loved.

On my way, I bump into Jungkook. What timing.

"Seon Ra-ssi! Did you see Taehyung anywhere? He's not picking up anyone's call.", he asks.

Even hearing his name makes me want to cry.

"No, I haven't seen him.", I say so I can quickly leave.

"Did something happen between you two? Seon Ra-ssi, don't take anything he says to heart, he really does love you a lot, more than anyone. He hasn't loved someone this much ever."

I just nod before leaving for home. As soon as I enter, I just go sleep.

Someone knocks at the door. Its Jungkook.

"What are you doing here?"

"Just spill. What happened?"

"Nothing."
