She comes back with a boatload of snacks, all junk.

"Give me some too.", I ask pouting and pretending I didn't read anything.

"Bring your own.", she says still ignoring me.

While eating, she goes and sits in front of her piano and begins to play a melody.

And just like that she starts to sing her lyrics (which she speaks so softly that I can't even hear, good thing I read them) and I can't do anything but stare at her.

I don't know how the time passed as she eventually stops playing.

"Why did you stop!?", I ask while whining.

"It's been an hour since I've been playing, my back hurts.", she says before sitting down on her bed.

I get up and start playing something instead.

The only lyrics that come to my mind go like:

I still love you; you know?

Why am I reaping something I didn't sow?

I'll take you back if you ask me to,

I'm still a fool for you, I'm still in love with you.

So why don't you just take my hand and let it all go?

I'll take you away to my paradise, the beauty of the world to you I'll show.

Why can't you just let me love you like I have from the start?

Why do you have to break both our hearts?

Why won't you believe me when I say it'll all be fine?

We are meant to be, the universe is showing signs.

Just trust me, we don't have to do or say anything,

Please come back to me, you are still my everything.

(PS: These lyrics are mine and have not been copied from any song)

I sing them loud enough for her to hear. I turn around to see her reaction and she has officially spaced out; I don't think she was even listening. She's busy eating her favorite chocolate.

I go and sit next to her and snap my fingers in front of her eyes. She finally comes back to reality.

"Can I ask you something?", she says finally looking me in my eyes.

"Hmm.", I say nodding.

"Why are you really here?"

"Like I told, the letter – ", I begin to say.
