Part 2: Penn - fourteen

The crown is forever beautiful.

It is gold, silver and very blue.

It feels heavy and somewhat big on Zadok's head.

But he wears it proudly.

Zadok has become used to it now.

Wearing a crown means that that person has authority.

To judge and to rule.

It is more difficult than Zadok thought.

The crown has been given to him by God.

God finds his judgment worthy.

Just thinking it makes him feel humble.

The angel Selaphiel softly brings Zadok back to heaven.

Zadok has seen the past.

All of Penn's life, he has perceived.

He has viewed how Penn changed to become good.

This judgment will be easy.

The angel Selaphiel hands Zadok the book.

It is thick with many pages, a true volume.

The book is named: Penn.

His name written in green and gold.

'You know what to do,' the angel Selaphiel says.

'But beware of your insight.

You must remember how Penn has grown.

But he did not pray much or pray often.

He didn't believe in God.

Does he deserve to be in heaven?

Can he go to heaven because of his character?'

Zadok has now become confused.

He was so sure of his judgment.

Just seeing Pen change made him want to bless.

But the angel is right.

Penn barely prayed once. He wasn't a true believer.

Again, Zadok does not want to continue his discernment.

'How can I judge him?

I do not know what heaven holds.

Can I not give you this heavy burden, Selaphiel?

Will you not help me?

I am lost between my many thoughts.

Penn has a good heart, and he is gentle...'

The angel does not answer.

Again Zadok becomes aware of his crown.

Zadok looks down at the book in his hands.

'You have to judge, Zadok.'

The angel Selaphiel is once more tender.

He has witnessed these judgments all of the time.

Zadok is not doing well.

But God has faith in his ways.

The angel Selaphiel does not ask God any questions.

Finally, Zadok makes a decision.

He speaks into the book of Penn.

'I find Penn guilty of not being very attentive.

He does not seek God.

I find him guilty of no justice.

He has no justice left for himself or others!'
