I was out for a walk in the woods, my favourite thing to do at the moment when I heard a rustling noise. Curious, I slowly approached the noise trying not to scare whatever was there. I carefully pushed the branches aside only to see nothing. I was surprised but gathered that it must have run away without me knowing. As I turned around I was pushed, I rolled down the steep hill I hit many rocks and tree stumps. I finally stopped rolling and looked up to see Sam and Micheal the two guys who had always bullied me ever since they knew I existed. They started chuckling before actually noticing the gravity of the situation and ran away. I winced as I tried to move, everything hurt. I put my hand to my head where it was hurting then looked at my hand and saw blood, a lot of blood. Suddenly the world went black and I fell into unconsciousness.

I woke up, still in the forest, and groaned I reached into my pocket to get my phone only to discover that it wasn't there. Panicking I looked around and couldn't see it anywhere.
It's okay, calm down. Just think, think. What do I do?
I tried to calm myself down so I could think straight. After a while, I got my breathing under control and started to think properly.
Right. All I have to do is shout loud enough right? I can't do that, I just can't. Amazing, a great time to get nervous to draw attention to myself.
A few minutes later I was still trying to figure out what to do when I saw something shine out of the corner of my eye. Looking over I saw my phone.
"Yesss!!!" I exclaimed.
Now all I have to do is get to it.
I tried to wriggle my way over to my phone but it was too painful. I made it about 50cm closer and had to rest. The phone was still a few meters away but I still tried to reach it out of desperation. After a bit, I gave up trying to reach it and just looked up at the tree and the birds. A weird feeling spread throughout my body and I felt closer to nature than I ever had before. My breathing had slowed and I was as relaxed as I had ever been in my whole life. I embraced the warm feeling and closed my eyes.

When I opened them everything looked different. Everything was more vibrant and I could see everything in much more detail. I cautiously tried to stand up and was surprised to find that it didn't hurt as much as before, it was still very painful but bearable. When I stood up I noticed that everything looked bigger.
I'm sure the trees weren't that tall before, and that log was much smaller. I thought to myself. I then looked down to check my injuries and I was not expecting what I saw.
I was a wolf, a grey wolf.
I had white and grey fur with a sprinkling of dark grey hairs. I had four legs with pure white paws and shiny nails. For some reason, I wasn't surprised at this, almost like I already knew I could do this.
Nah, this is a hallucination. This can't be real. It would be awesome though... and it kinda feels like this is right... NO, it's impossible... or is it?

I decided to head back to the entrance to the woods as after all I was injured even if I was apparently a wolf. I sniffed around for my phone, noticing my sense of smell was insanely enhanced and found it easily. I then left to go back home. I finally got to the entrance trying not to be seen by anyone (grey wolves aren't native where I live so they would be very scared).
Oh, sh*t. How on earth do I turn back? Can I turn back? What if I'm stuck like this?!
I started to panic and then started to think logically again.
Right. If I turned into a wolf whilst feeling really close to nature, do I feel close to humanity to turn into a human? Or do I have to feel relaxed?
I eventually decided to try and lie down like before and relax. Hoping for the best I lay down and started focusing on my breathing.
In... and out... in... and out...
After a while, I must have fallen asleep because I woke up and it was almost dark. Rubbing my eyes I got up slowly, WAIT I'M HUMAN!
I suddenly remembered the whole situation with being a wolf and laughed, it must have been a dream right? Of course, it was either that or I was seeing things after I hit my head. But that wouldn't explain how I got here or how I can move more now. I came to the conclusion to think about it later after I was safe and being treated for my injuries.
