2 days after the attack I was pulled away from Rhys by Matt who said he needed to speak to me.

"Jay? Helloooo?" he asked, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Hm? yeah,"

"Just wanted to check if you're okay in there, especially after how you reacted two days ago," he explained with a small smile.

"Yeah I'm fine, I think it was just a lot to try and process and I couldn't handle it or something, I don't know," I smiled

"Okay, well if you need anything let me know," he replied before walking away leaving me to hurriedly walk back to Rhys. 

Please be okay, please be okay, phew. I entered the room and was relieved to see that Rhys was still okay.

"You okay there?" Rhys asked me concerned

"Yup, just uh, just checking you're alright" I answered smiling weakly

"I told you I'm fine, we have accelerated healing so I'll be free to go soon! It also means that we don't get hurt as much by things," he informed, "so don't worry, I'll be fine,"

"Okay,"

"Hey, guys!" Kay's voice echoed from the door,

"Heyyyy!" I ran up and hugged him, "where were you? you weren't here yesterday!"

"Woah! Unlike you two I still have school, you're lucky you know Jay, they didn't make you go back," he defended raising his hands.

"Ha," I laughed, "why didn't they make me go back?"

"Maybe someone asked Matt for you to stay here so they wouldn't be bored... I don't know who would do thaaaat but you never know," Rhys added sarcastically

"Awh, thanks Rhys you got me off double German!" I thanked gratefully,

"I have to get back to camp so see ya tomorrow?" Kay suggested

"Okay! See ya!" I replied

"Bye!" Kay waved, winking at me before looking at Rhys suggestively. I shot him a glare before going back to sitting beside Rhys.

*BANG BANG*

The TV was playing some action movie Rhys wanted to watch and the gunshots startled me. My mind flashed back to 'the attack' as people were calling it. I let out a shaky breath remembering that it was only the TV and there was nothing to worry about.

I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and my emotions went back to normal and I was calm again.

"We're safe Jay, don't worry," a voice whispered in my ear - Rhys's voice. That was hot... wait no... wait I am allowed to think these things now! Definitely hot.

I turned around and snuggled into Rhys's chest almost falling asleep just from the comfort and warmth. The TV suddenly stopped and I was picked up and placed on the bed. The duvet moved and I felt Rhys's presence behind me - I slept very well that night.

"Jay, wake up," someone whispered before placing a gentle kiss on my temple.

"Too early" I grumbled, "five more minutes"

"Bud, it's already 12," he said lovingly

"So? More sleep please,"
