"Rhys, Rhys, no come on, SOMEBODY HELP" I shouted for what felt like the hundredth time,

Someone came running up to us and started checking Rhys's pulse and assessing his wound, all I could do was sit there, I felt numb, I never knew someone could mean so much to me...

"Jay? Jay! Oh my goodness, what happened?" Kay asked worriedly, I was too caught up in my thoughts to answer. What if he dies? What would I do? I can't- I don't know what I would do. It feels like he's always been there for me, how, what would I do? He can't die.

I felt my body being picked up and moved into a car? possibly. The car - yes definitely a car - then started to drive quite fast until it reached its destination, I heard shouts then the door opening and closing multiple times before I heard Matt talking softly to me,

"Jay, I need you to talk to me, Rhys is at the hospital don't worry, we can go in and wait if you want or we can stay out here in the car,"

Matt's words kept circling in my head, 'in the hospital' he's safe now right? Then why didn't he say he was, oh god no... please live.

"Jay..." Matt said gently, "you can point if you want, inside or here," I made a small gesture towards the building and that was enough for Matt. He picked me up then tried to get me to walk, I tried but it felt like I wasn't really controlling my body - like someone else was.

Matt eventually gave up and carried me inside, seemingly not caring about the weird stares he was getting. He placed me down in one of the waiting room's chairs, and we waited.

We must have waited a few hours at least before a doctor emerged and informed Matt about Rhys's condition. I was too far away to hear - probably for the best. The doctor then left again and Matt approached me slowly. Oh no.

"Jay, Rhys is ok, we can go and see him now, he's still asleep because he had to have surgery but he'll wake up soon,"

"He- he's okay?" I asked wearily, my voice breaking slightly.

"Yes, he's okay, shall we go and see him? Kay, Clara and Josh will be here shortly as well,"

We walked into the hospital room - I was feeling better and could walk now - and once I saw Rhys I held in a gasp. There were so many tubes going in and out of him connecting to so many machines that were all beeping rhythmically. Matt must've noticed my shock as he guided me towards a chair and rubbed my back comfortingly.

All I could do was stare at Rhys willing him to wake up as soon as possible so I could be sure he would be okay. 

"Jay?" Kay's voice broke through my thoughts as he, Clara, and Josh burst into the room. "Oh my goodness, Jay are you alright? Is he alright?"

"Rhys will be fine, Jay I think just needs some comforting right now" Matt smiled gently towards them, "I'll leave you guys alone, if you need me I'll be outside,"

Kay took Matt's place, rubbing circles into my back attempting to comfort me.

The beeping on one of the monitors suddenly changed rhythm and my head snapped up towards Rhys. His arm moved slightly and I stood up and made my way over to him, I grasped his hand in mine as his eyes fluttered open.

"Hey," he croaked with a smile. I smiled back, the relief was amazing.

I started to tear up, my mind thinking about all of the other outcomes, "Hey, it's okay, I'm alright, hi guys," he reassured me and greeted the others.

"Hi Rhys, we'll leave you guys alone for a bit if you want, it's such a relief you're okay,"

"Okay," he croaked in agreement. The others left leaving Rhys and me.

"Jay, it's okay, I'm okay," he smiled sadly. With that, I started full-on crying Rhys pulled me into a hug and reassured me.

"I thought you were gone" I sobbed quietly, "I thought, I thought you were dead,"

"Oh, Jay," he whispered before capturing my lips in a kiss, "How could I die when you're here waiting for me?"

"Sweet, but doesn't make logical sense," I argued feeling better already

"Okay, now that I know you're alright I can relax," he grinned

"So, I'm alright if I start acting 'nerdy'?" I made quotation marks with my fingers

"Pretty much yeah," he smiled, "wanna get the others?"

"Okay, do I look like I've been crying?"

"Yeah, but it just shows you care, don't worry," Rhys reassured

"NO! Come on!" I whisper-shouted at Kay, - we were in the hospital and it was 2 am - "That's cheating!"

"Nope, I'm just smarter than you!" he grinned

"Woah, boys, boys calm down," Rhys interrupted, "I'm clearly the smartest out of us all" he added with a smirk

"Sure you're smarter than Kay, I don't know between us" I challenged

"Come on! Not fair you can't gang up on meeeee" Kay whined.

"Anyway, that was the last game, bedtime!" I exclaimed - quiet so I wouldn't wake others up.

"Awwww" Kay whined again

We eventually all settled down and fell asleep quickly.

The next morning

"Awwwwh look how adorable he is when he's sleeping!"

"Quick take a picture before he wakes up" I opened my eyes quickly and glared at the two mischievous boys, "Nooooo I was too late" Kay grumbled

"Ah well there's always tomorrow," Rhys said with an evil smirk

"Great, now I'm scared to sleep near you guys..."

A/N

Another short chapter BUT can we appreciate the 3 chapters in one day? Eh? No? Okay.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed, I'm trying to include more Kay and Jay bonding and not just Jay and Rhys.
