"There's nothing there,"
"Huh? Wh-" I stopped breathing deeply to cope with the pain, "what do you mean?"
"I mean there's nothing there..."
"B-but there has to be something right? It can't just hurt..." I thought aloud
"Let's go to the nurse, she'll find out what's going on," he suggested
"No," I replied listening to my instincts, 'Something going to happen there, don't go'
"Why?" he asked
"No, I have a bad feeling about it,"
"Um, okay. If it gets worse you have to tell me," his tone softened, "You can get something for the pain, from the nurse,"
"No, something's going to happen I can feel it,"
"Okay then, c'mon let's get some rest, it's been a long day," he suggested, I nodded in agreement. He scooted under the covers and wrapped his arms around me gently, reassuring me.
"Good night Rhys," I stopped myself from adding my thoughts to the end, 'I love you...'
"Night Jay," he looked like he wanted to say something else but I was too tired and in too much pain to push him to say it.

"Don't push it all the way in!" I groaned at Rhys
"Don't say it like that! It makes it sound like something else" he complained giving up on attempting to push the rubber bung into the conical flask in Chemistry. "You do it then,"
"Okie!" I grabbed the flask and the bung and quickly pushed them together.
"Hmpf, you weren't actually meant to be able to do it!" he retorted angrily
"Come on we have to add the calcium carbonate to the flask and quickly push the bung back in and then bubble it through the limewater," I ordered
"Woah that sounds complicated... why are we doing this again?" he asked
"To prove that calcium carbonate reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce carbon dioxide," I huffed. "Honestly, have you been listening at all?!"
After the prac, we had games. Ugh games, I was so lucky that my leg had 'healed' overnight and I was completely pain-free! Note the sarcasm.
"Jay, come on move faster!" Mr White shouted at me, well if I'm moving too slow why don't you take my place?! Ugh I hate games with a burning passion.
"Alright, everyone! Let's get changed," he shouted again. Finally, I am free! Damn Rhys and his injury, I had to suffer on my own.
I quickly got changed and greeted Rhys outside the changing rooms.
"Hey," he replied, "How was games?" he asked, smirking,
"Horrible, you ditched me," I scowled
"I got shot! I'm allowed to miss games at least once!" he exclaimed clutching his side unconsciously,
"Hmpf," After games, we had English, lovely English - sarcasm, I HATE English. Come to think of it I hate quite a few subjects... oh well.

*RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING*
I was startled by the horrible high-pitched ring of the fire/warning alarm.
"Calm down everyone! If it goes off again then we leave," the teacher reminded,
Around 30 seconds later another high-pitched, eardrum-breaking ring echoed through the 'school'.
"Come on then, out to the clearing and line up next to our room number! Number, 117!" she exclaimed.
We all walked out to the clearing, why on earth do we have to walk? like, if there was a fire we should be running! same if there was an attack! We were around halfway to our room number when I began to feel dizzy, thinking it was just the harsh noise of the fire alarm I carried on, shaking my head.
We walked a few more paces, the dizziness only getting worse. It came to the point where I could barely walk straight, I misplaced my foot and tumbled to the ground. The dizziness now accompanied by quite a bit of pain. I heard some muffled voices and saw the shadows of people, but I couldn't hear or see clearly enough to see who.
I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder rubbing comforting circles into it. Rhys. I don't know how I knew it was Rhys, I guess it was just a gut feeling. I blacked out soon after and welcomed the darkness.

I awoke propped up against a tree. Confused I looked around and saw Rhys sitting by a small smokeless campfire.
"Hey," I croaked
"Jay! You're up!" he exclaimed, "I was worried," he pulled me into a hug kissing the top of my head.
"Where are we?"
"Uh, we had to run, the camp was attacked again, the same people as before," he explained solemnly
"Where's Kay?!" I asked urgently
"He stayed back to fight,"
"No, no, no, no, he can't," I mumbled
"Why not? He's capable of looking after himself Jay, he'll be fine,"
"We need to go back,"
"Nuh-uh, you just woke up from, whatever that was, you're not going anywhere,"
"Rhys, he's in danger, I think they're after him," I growled agitated,
"Wh- what, why? Oh, let's go," realisation dawned on his face as he accepted. He put out the campfire and we started our walk back to camp.
Around 20 minutes later we reached the camp's border, we put our things down and ran into the battle.
"Kay?!" I called out urgently, "KAAAY?"
"I saw him over there last," Josh shouted from a distance
"Thanks," I replied and ran over towards where he pointed.
"Kay?" I asked as his familiar wolf came rushing towards me. RUN
I ran in the same direction as Kay, he eventually slowed, looked around and shifted back.
"What are you doing here?" he asked
"They're after you aren't they," I inquired
"Yeah," he replied solemnly, "but, as of now we are winning this battle, I'd better go back,"
"Stay, please" I pleaded
"I'm sorry, it's my fault they're here I have to fight, see ya, bro," he added with a small smile
"See ya bro" I repeated.
He turned around ready to shift but was stopped.
*BANG*
"KAY!"

Cliffhanger :)
Anyways, hope you enjoyed, this chapter is better than the last. What do you think happened?
This book is turning out to be shorter than I had hoped, but luckily I'm almost definitely sure there will be at least 1 probably 2 more after this. I haven't planned those properly yet though.
