Naruto:

There's this common saying about art:

"Life imitates art far more than art imitates life."

But I've been thinking, recently, that maybe that statement's not so true.

I mean, how is life supposed to imitate somebody's art? Life doesn't have hands for drawing. Life isn't even a person!

3rd POV:

But, if they were...

Naruto thought woefully, taking in the war zone they called "art class" at this school...

...they definitely have it in for me.

Multiple new and strange people were discussing Naruto.

"Who's this bitch?"

"I thought we'd scared all the little kids away."

"Omg, babe! Check it out, a new kid! So cute!"

"Hmph."

After everyone added their two cents, the leader of the pack stepped forward.

"Yo!"

The middle aged man posed a rather striking appearance, consisting of wraparound sports glasses, multiple chains, a thick white scarf, and bleach blonde cornrows.

Naruto was quite inclined to call the man cool.

So he did.

"Woah! Thanks a bunch, baby!"

"Baby" was clearly meant as a slang nickname, obviously not romantic in any way. The man spoke with a certain accent, a very strong one, of which Naruto could not name, but felt familiar.

Naruto was enamored.

"OKAY! Welcome to art, boy! We're the hottest class on campus! COME ON!"

An honest laugh escaped Naruto's chest, maybe for the first time that day.

"'Sup, teach. My name's Naruto!"

"Got a last?"

"Uzumaki!"

Naruto added a little suffix to the end of his sentence, a habit he thought he left behind in grade school.

"Nice to meet ya, Uzumaki Naruto! I'm Mr. Bee, but feel free to call me...KILLER BEE!!"

He struck a bold pose, and let out a funny noise. This guy was so interesting.

Killer Bee had added the same suffix to his sentence as Naruto had earlier, which only added to the boy's growing obsession with this teacher.

"Yeah!! Nice to meetcha!"

Naruto then recognized one of the voices that had spoken earlier.

"Ahh!! Soo cute, look at him! Using that funny kind of slang just like the teach!"

The origin of this rather feminine tone: a rather feminine...person.

Naruto wasn't sure about which gender this character intended to present as.  They seemed a delicate yet bold mix of everything.

"You're so green. It's lovey!"

Just then, their counterpart spoke up.

"You mean Lovely, Deidara."
