(CH1) The New Teacher

I made some spelling and grammar fixes to the chapter so if you got. a notification saying I updated, everything's the same, just fixed a few errors!

"LUCIA HURRY UP!!"

"IM COMING!"

Luz was waiting at the door for her older sister Lucia. She was supposed to be the one to drive her to dance practice, but she was gone half the day and is now running late with getting ready.

"Okay I'm done." She says as she walked down the stairs.

"Fvcking finally..."

"HEY!" shouted Lucia, "DONT GET SMART WITH ME. You're still fourteen, don't curse at me, go watch disney channel or something." she said as she locked the door.

"I'm not a baby! I'm literally going to be a freshmen this upcoming year."

"Yeah well school hasn't started yet, so you're still a scrawny little middle schooler." Lucia pointed out and lightly shoved Luz's shoulder.

They were finally at the dance academy.
The car door made a thump sound as Luz closed it.

"Alright, so I'll pick you up in like around an hour right?" questioned Lucia.

"Yep! At 7:55!" responded Luz.

"Kay, have fun I guess? I don't know, do well? Just don't get hurt doing something stupid."

"Okay Okay, I get it geez." She squinted as she gave her older sister a glare.

"Well, byeee see you later hermanita!" Yelled Lucia as she drove away.

The younger girl sighed while she turned around and walked into the building.

Luz loved being in this building. She loved the white lights, and the way it always smelled like dance equipment and rubber. She loved the blue and green lined carpeted floor and how they felt to walk on. Luz had been going here since she was five years old. She thought of the place as a second home. It had always been the same. Until now. Luz would be having a different dance teacher.

Dance instructors usually don't change, most people keep their same teachers for most of their years. However, something happened with Luz's old teacher so her class would be getting a new one!

News about the new teacher had spread like crazy already around the academy. Every girl was talking about it.

"I heard she's really rich"  Some girls said.

"Well I heard that she's really strict and mean."

"I heard that she had yellow eyes."
"Yellow eyes?"
"That's freaky."

Luz never knew how anyone find out things about the workers when they hadn't even come yet, but she did know that she herself was very excited to meet this new teacher.

BANG

The 2-B dance room doors were flung open by a group of girls exiting from there. That was actually the first class that got to meet the new teacher.

"OH MY GOD! SHE WAS SO ____"
"___ DOING ____ GREAT"
"___ FAVORITE ___"

She tried to listen to what people had to say about the new teacher, but voices overlapped and it was barely audible.

Once all the girls from the past class had left, it was now my turn to meet the new teacher.

All the girls sat down in our designated spots and waited. For some reason the teacher wasn't in the room? Which was weird since she didn't see her exit but she could have slipped by to go to the bathroom when Luz wasn't paying attention.

The the doors were pushed open and she entered.

I don't write a lot of fics this is one of my first, so I'm really sorry if it's not very good. I haven't tried writing in SO LONG OMGGG. But I did really enjoy writing this chapter and personally I also really love the cover art. (Which isn't mine btw) But yeah :))
