LUCIA POV:

6:55 PM.

"Okay Byeee!" I said as a drove away, Luz turning around and into the building. I got a text, so I pulled over and unlocked my phone.

I started driving to Ambers house. What could be going on? Amber sometimes gets in moods but she usually just tells me to make it up to her by going shopping with her or something. She never wants to just "talk."

I take a breath and starting playing music. I click shuffle on my playlist and it goes to Doughnut by TWICE.

I pull into Ambers driveway and hop out of the car. I fidget nervously with my hands as I walk to the front door. I knock three times and hear footsteps on the other side.

Amber opens the door and shifts to the side so I could enter.

"Follow me." She demands.

I follow her up to her room, closing the door behind me and then sitting on a chair near her vanity.

"Is everything okay? You're freaking me out a bit—"

"I can't do this anymore Lucia."

......

"What..?" I exhale.

"I can't do this anymore."

"Amber," I get up, "What do you mean by that?"

I try to grab Ambers hand and step closer to her.

"What I mean," Amber says as she snatches her hand back, and out of mine, "Is that we are done."

"So suddenly? Why? I thought we were happy together."

"LUCIA." Amber screeched.

"You were everything BUT a good girlfriend."

I took a few steps back.

"You were always busy and never had time for me. I am so TIRED OF YOU." She pointed to me.

"But I'd always try my best to spend time with you, I'm sorry if it wasn't enough I'll try harder I swear—"

"Last week, you turned down going to buy things with me because you were too busy."

"Amber it was my sisters birthday-"

"I DONT CARE LUCIA," Amber said as she swung her arm out to the side, "YOU WERE GOOD IN THE BEGINNING BUT LATELY YOU DONT BUY ME ANYTHING ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU SAY THAT ITS TOO EXPENSIVE AS IF YOU CANT EARN THE MONEY BACK."

"I CANT JUST BE WASTING MY MONEY CONSTANTLY, YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND." I retorted.

"AUGH. YOU KNOW WHAT? GET OUT, WE ARE DONE LUCIA."

"FINE."

I walked out Ambers bedroom and out of her house, slamming the door behind myself and then getting in my car. I turned it on and then backed out the driveway.

I just don't understand. I always tried to be. a good girlfriend but why wasn't it enough? I bought her anything she wanted when I was able to but sometimes I couldn't use the money. And I never meant to make her feel ignored but every once in a while I'd have family things to attend to.

I want to know what I did wrong...

I got home and checked the time.

7:30 PM.

Luz didn't get out for a while so I decided to take a nap to distract myself from what just happened. I took off my shoes and headed up to my room as I fell into a deep slumber.

A while later, I woke up. Checking the time on my phone it was

8:20?! OH MY GOD. I WAS SO LATE.

I took my phone and car keys, running down the stairs. I got my shoes on and entered my car. The engine made a growl as it turned on and once I was all good I started driving.

"God I should really text Luz." I sighed.

"Hey siri, send a message to nerd arms."

"What message do you wish to send?"

"Send, I'm on my way, i'm so sorry for being late."

"Sending message to Nerd Arms."

After a bit of driving I pulled into the main parking lot and got out of my car. I went into the building, immediately seeing Luz waiting there in the lobby.

"Oh my god Luz i'm so sorry for taking so long to pick you up." I grabbed onto her shoulders, frantically apologizing.

"It's okay Lucia, really. It wasn't that bad." Luz chuckled, pushing me back from squeezing her too hard.

I sighed relieved and gave her a quick hug. Once I was calm and let go, I noticed someone standing behind her.
