"LUCIAAAA!"

The scream of the teenage girl upstairs shocked both women, flinching at the noise volume.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT LUZ?"

"Do you guys not break your vocal cords screaming like that?" The Blight interrupted, "Like it has to hurt."

Lucia quickly switched her tone to a more calm and quieter one, "No we're used to it."

This answer got a small laugh out of Amelia, one that made Lucia's heart skip a beat.

"AMITY AND I ARE HUNGRY!"

"OKAY? THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO ABOUT THAT? IF YOU'RE HUNGRY THEN COME DOWN HERE."

The Latina then cleared her throat, throwing in an eye roll right after. This puzzled Amelia. Lucia had seemed to be so caring for her sister so far. Amelia would always make food for her siblings if they were ever hungry no questions asked. To Amelia, Lucia's response seemed a bit harsh, however she didn't want to be too quick to judge. Some families worked differently, and the Blights situation had caused Amelia to be a bit more protective of her younger siblings. Everyone was different, and just because she had grown up one way doesn't mean Lucia did too.

Soon, they heard footsteps trodding down the stairs. Two girls emerged from the staircase, Amity following behind Luz. Luz walked up to the couch right behind Lucia and flicked the back of her sisters head.

"Ow!" What the...?"

The older girl turned her head back to see her sister standing behind her with a smug grin on her face.

"Heyyyy."

"Ugh, you're so annoying."

"I live for it."

Lucia stood up and made her way towards the kitchen, the other three following behind her. Luz quickly caught up to her sister and walked by her side while the Blight sisters walked beside one another, behind the Noceda siblings.

"I can tell considering you can't spend two minutes without being a pain in the ass."

The Blight sisters listened to their little conversation, both unsure on how to feel.

"I can't tell if  they're joking around or actually annoyed," the younger sister whispered.

"I know right?" the older one answered, "I thought it was kind of weird but I guess not all siblings act like us four do."

"Yeah, you're right," Amity concluded, "We had a weird situation, so they're probably used to being meaner to each-other since they didn't have to fully depend growing up."

"Yeah, we all have more of a mix of mom and sibling vibe but they're straight sibling."

"Yeah, I guess so-"

"The fuck are you guys whispering about?"

Both sisters turned their heads to look in front of them, during their whispering they hadn't noticed their location change. They had already made it to the kitchen. The two sisters seemed to be staring back at them, confusion written all over their faces.

"Luz!" Lucia gave Luz a small slap on the arm as she reprimanded her, "You're literally eight stop cursing at them."

Lucia made her way to the fridge, opening the doors, cool air immediately hitting her face.
