Captured

Heads Ch.2

When Hermione first arrived at Hogwarts she found out that she was sharing a dorm with the one and only Draco Malfoy. McGonagall appointed him as the other head. It was so she could promote house unity as all the Gryffindors and Slytherins had been fighting over everything recently.

Sharing a dorm with Malfoy wasn't as bad as she thought it would be, the downside was she would have to keep a lot of secrets and so would he. Hermione had heard rumours that Draco was there on you-know-whos orders. The order couldn't have Hermione spilling all their secrets to a member of Voldemorts inside the circle, so they arranged meetings at headquarters every Friday that Hermione would go to. 

There they would a headlock spell on her so Malfoy couldn't use Legilimes on her. This was great and all except Hermione was running out of excuses of where she was every Friday evening. Nobody knew about these meetings, not even Ginny. Hermione was gut wrenched when they told her couldn't tell ginny.

More secrets, and more lies.

It was Friday evening and Hermione had just flooded back from her weekly meeting. Today, the order discussed the progress that Harry and Ron had made. They'd found Salazers Locket and was working on finding a way to destroy it. This news was just as hard for Hermione as ever. Her not being able to help them made her feel guilty.

She walked up the stairs up to the picture of the man playing the piano, spoke the words " Unum unitum", meaning, one united. The door swung open. Of course, that was the password to their dorm, McGonagall's new catchphrase. She stepped in, walked into the kitchen and turned on the lamp. 

Suddenly, the brown leather chair in their shared living room swivelled around, it was the blonde hair, ferret boy, Malfoy, sitting there. Hermione jumped she thought he wouldn't be awake at this hour but he waited up for her. "What are you doing up at this time of night, I thought you were asleep," Hermione said, still in shock. " I could ask you the same thing Granger, where have you been?". Hermione had to quickly think of an excuse "umm... I was out doing rounds, McGonagall asked, one of the prefects was out". " okay granger, whatever you say" Draco replied and got out of the chair and started walking up the stairs to his room.

Hermione turned around and walked up to the kettle, with a flick of her wand it started to boil. She poured the water into her cup with a teabag, grabbed it and sat on the couch. She pulled some books about Horcruxes out of her bag with the extension charm on it. She began to read, and read and read until it was 3 in the morning. 

Then, she decided to pack up her stuff and head to bed. She found lots about Horcruxes while she was reading. How they were made, what they were usually put into, and the history of destroying them. That chapter was particularly interesting.

Two weeks later she had finally solved how to destroy the horcrux. They needed the sword of Gryffindor. That was going to be hard because they had been informed during the summer that it was currently lost.

Hermione went to the Friday meeting, as usual, this time she actually had news to share. She stepped out of the green flames into Grimwald place, where she was greeted by Mr and Mrs Weasley. Then, she headed into the meeting room.

"Hermione, you're here!" spoke Lupin, probably putting on a brave face. That meant that there was news on Harry and Ron. "So, what's the update?" " umm... Hermione you might want to sit down for this" Mr Weasley said calmly. Hermione sat down "What happened," she said knowing it was probably bad. The whole room went silent. 

Finally, Remus spoke up " We've lost track of Harry and Ron, we haven't heard from them, they were supposed to contact us on Wednesday but nothing came". "not to further alarm you ms. Granger but we've also lost them on our map" Kingsley spoke.

Hermione swore her heart stopped beating for a second. "WHAT... what do you mean by 'lost' them, it's impossible". " Apparently not ms. Granger, they're nowhere, it's either they've been captured or they've gone to a place the map doesn't show us". 

A while ago the order created a map of England, kind of like the marauder's map. "Hermione", Mrs Weasley spoke up, "do you know where they could be that's not on this map". " umm... what about Godrics Hollow, that isn't on the map is it because it's protected by magic." Everyones face shot up, Hermione was probably right." Good thinking Hermione, Remus can we add that to the map," Mr Weasley said as he walked over to it.

Remus Got to work on adding it to the map. After they did they immediately spotted Harry and Ron walking around in the forest just outside Godric's Hollow. Everyone sighed of relief, then got back to work. Kingsley asked everyone "Does anyone have any news to share, George, Fred any updates from our man on the inside". They both said, "Yes, actually, they said they're sending people out to find Ron and Harry, also they said something about plans for after they win, something like separating them whatever that means, we'll find out more soon". " Thank you, boys".

"Anything else", Remus said looking around the room. "Hermione, what about you". Hermione looked up from the book as she heard her name, "What", "Any news ms Granger". "Oh, yes, the books you gave me actually proved useful, you can destroy Horcruxes with basilisk venom" she replied. Everyone motioned her to go on. " Oh well, Since the sword of Gryffindor absorbs everything it touches, when Harry used it down in the Chamber of Secrets to destroy the snake it absorbed the venom". Everyone looked puzzled, they didn't get it. " So, they can use the sword of Gryffindor to destroy the Horcruxes".

Everyone looked happy about what Hermione had said and started talking to one another. "BUT" Hermione shouted to get everyone's attention, "There is only one problem" everyone's head turned towards her, no one knew what was wrong. Hermione finally said " The sword is currently lost". They all looked at her confused.

"What do you mean lost Hermione," Fred said. " I mean no one has seen it since the chamber opening"
