You see flashes of red and swirls of green and blue light. You can hear a voice in the distance, but you don't know what it's saying. The voice seems to be getting closer, and as it does, you can now tell it isn't talking; it's singing. Your vision is blurry, you can't see anything clearly. The voice slowly starts to fade. For whatever reason, you feel the need to follow it. You feel drawn to it, and you try to move in the direction you can hear it.
"Don't stop." You feel yourself say, trying to pinpoint which direction you should walk in.

"No, everything is okay." You hear a different voice say. It seems more high pitched, but it's coming from the same direction.
"You... co... as lon...be..." The distant voice is cutting in and out, you can't piece together everything it's saying.
"I can't hear you." you say, but you can't decipher if you said it out loud or in your head. Something overhead catches your eye, and you quickly look up. Vision still blurry, you squint your eyes to make out something flying over you.
"A bird?"
"...fine. D... worry... al... you."

You hear the ringing of your alarm go off at six AM. You slowly open your eyes, going to reach over to turn it off, but the sound of the alarm stops.
"I got it." Eren whispers.
"Morning, sunshine."
"Hmm." you mumble, feeling groggy and confused.
"You okay?"
"Yeah... I just had a weird dream." you reply.
"Oh? What was it about?"
"I... I'm not really sure. I can remember hearing a voice, but I couldn't make out everything it was saying. And I saw a... bird?" You shake your head.

"I don't know, I think I'm still half asleep. Did you just wake up?" you ask Eren, sitting up and rubbing your eyes.
"No. I've been up for a bit." Eren replies.
"Fuck." you think to yourself. You turn your head to look at him.
"Just an hour or so." Eren adds. You turn on Eren's lamp to get a look at him since it's still dark outside, and the dark circles around his eyes tell you differently.

"Liar." you say.
"You look exhausted. Tell me the truth." Eren sighs and smiles.
"Let's get ready." he says, getting out of his bed and stretching. You get up beside him, getting in his face to stare at him.
"Eren Jaeger."
"Yes, my pretty girl?" Eren says back with a smirk. You don't let him get to you though.
"Stop. Why didn't you sleep? What if you need to shift today? You aren't gon-" Eren cuts you off by pressing his lips against yours.

"Mm-" you mumble in shock. You pull your head back, stopping the kiss between you and Eren. You furrow your brow.
"Eren."
"That didn't work?" Eren asks, laughing a bit.
"No." you dryly reply, glaring at him. Eren tilts his head.
"I slept for an hour."
"You're fucking joking."
"Hey, at least it's something." Eren sighs.
"Eren, why the fuck were you awake?" Eren shrugs.
"Just thinking I guess. Doesn't matter."

"Yeah, it does. You're gonna be tired. We have training to do today, and you have to drive to the cabins. What were you thinking, Eren? You need to fucking sleep." you say.
"Didn't I tell you not to worry about me?" Eren asks.
"It's hard not to when you purposely go out of your way to make your own life harder than it has to be." Eren smiles and shakes his head.
"And you call me a worrier." he laughs.
"We should get ready, yeah?"
"Yeah, fine." you say.

You go to turn your back to Eren, but he grabs your shoulder.
"I'll be fine, sunshine. I promise." he says, smiling sweetly yet tiredly at you. You tilt your head, looking down at his lips and smiling back.
"You better be, or you're gonna die." you jokingly say back.
