Connie stares at you, and you stare right back.
"Man, I always miss the good drama!" he finally groans, breaking the silence between you two.
"It's what makes the most sense." you say.
"I don't know why else he would kill Hitch. Which makes me wonder why he even agreed to join them in the first place."

"They probably threatened him or some shit if he isn't doing this on his own free will." Connie replies. You furrow your brow, then you feel your eyes widen.
"Oh my god." you say. Connie raises he eyebrow at you.
"What?"
"Willy calls me the key to all of this... all of this is happening because of me." you begin to say.

"When me and Eren got into that fight a while back, it was because he had said some really fucked shit to me, but that's because he was getting texts that were threatening me, so he had to. Maybe... no, not maybe. That's definitely connected to all of this."

Connie scrunches up his face.
"I don't get it. What's so special about you? Not to sound like, rude or anything. You're obviously pretty special if you're royal blood. But like... what exactly does this Willy guy want with you?" he asks.
"I don't really know yet." you reply.
"They want something from me, or need my for something, but I don't know what."

"So what does this have to do with Eren?"
"Well... maybe he's going along with their plan cuz of me." you sigh.
"I don't know if he'd really go to the extremes for me, but I wouldn't say it isn't a possibility."
"Eh, the guy's like, actually in love with you, dude." Connie says.
"If he's doing this for anyone, it's definitely for you."

"Why, though?" you think to yourself.
"Why would he do this for me? I know we're dating... but is all of this really necessary?"
"Well, has he given you any hints or something?" Connie asks.

"I'm stupid, so I would've missed them. But I know you're smart."
"I don't really know. The past couple of weeks has felt like one big blur." you reply.

"You probably just haven't really thought about it." Connie says.
"After all, you have been under a shit ton of stress lately. It would be stupid of someone to expect you to figure things out as soon as they happen under these circumstances."

"I haven't really had the time to stop and think about any of it, y'know?" you sigh.
"You got time to think now!" Connie exclaims.
"What was he like when you went to Marley? I mean, he let you, Jean, and Pieck go, right."
"Yeah. He seemed weak." you reply.
"I attacked him, and he was barely able to push me off of him."

"Really?" Connie asks.
"That's kinda weird. He should be able to heal himself like right away after he gets injured. But when would he have gotten injured? Did he use his titan for in an attack against Paradis?"
"No, we haven't seen him attack us yet." you reply.

"...He did take the titan, right? Or am I tripping on hospital drugs?" Connie asks.
"No you're right, he's a titan." you say.
"I'll ask Pieck or another titan shifter if there could be a reason to why he may physically not be able turn."

"I think there is a reason... but I can't remember." Connie says.
"Maybe they don't need him!"
"That seems unrealistic." you respond.
"If they don't need him, why is he on their side?"
"Yeah... you're right." Connie sighs.
"Man, this is hurts the two brain cells I have."

"I just have a feeling." you say as you look down at your hands.
"Something isn't right. He let me, Pieck, and Jean live that night, when he could have killed us. He didn't even try hurting any of us. Even when we all got taken hostage... I was the one who cut my own throat by pushing against his knife. I know I'm missing something."
