(Y/n)'s POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Morning classes went okay, nothing really interesting happened. My assignments were all in braille, so when Ashido came over to me and saw my paper, her reaction was beautiful. "What is that? There's nothing on your paper, just bumps. Is it like some secret code or something?" "It's called braille. Each of the dots forms a pattern that represents letters. It's like reading but with texture instead of just normally printed writing." She let out a gasp in amazement. "That's so cool! I wanna learn! Can you teach me? Please,
(y/n)-san?" I didn't want to, it would be a lot of work that I don't have the energy to do. Her begging was persistent, however, and I doubt she would stop until I agreed. "Fine. But just so you know, it isn't very easy." She hummed happily, then skipped back to her friends.I haven't made any friends yet. The only people I've held a conversation with so far are Ashido, Yaomomo, and Midoriya. Even then, I don't do much in the way of talking. Dad told me that I should make friends, but we both know it was hopeless. Papa said I act a lot like Dad did when they were my age. That means I probably won't get a choice of having friends or not. Someone will take me into their friend group, and there is absolutely nothing I can do to stop it.
The class picked a rep, I got vice rep for some reason. I handed it off to Yaomomo. Not only do I trust her and think her most responsible, but I just don't want that responsibility.
Lunchtime came around and I simply stayed at my desk, Daisuke off duty and laying at my feet. I pulled out my phone, opened my Spotify, and pressed play on my favorite playlist. Just as I put my head down on my desk, my feet were moving in my direction. Yay.
"Hey, (y/n)-san, wanna join us for lunch? You look kinda lonely back here." A boy spoke, his voice was smooth and cheerful. "C'mon,
(y/n)-san! Join us!" Ashido called from across the room. "Sorry, I don't know. I wasn't planning on going anywhere, Daisuke needs time to play in between classes so I was gonna stay here.""Then we'll stay with you!" The boy told me, sitting at the desk in front of me. "No, it's okay. You guys go, I'll be fine." "Don't bother, Dog Girl. They won't stop until you agree." Another boy said, his voice calm and rough with an annoyed tone. A shuffling of desks and chairs led to a group of my classmates surrounding me.
"I'm sorry, but can you all introduce yourselves? So I know who's voice is who's." I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment. "Oh yeah! You probably already know but I'm Ashido Mina! Mina-chan is fine." Ashido cheered from my right side. "I'm Sero Hanta, call me whatever you want." Another boy, also to my right, next to Mina. "Me next! My name's Kirishima Eijiro, nice to meet you,
(y/n)-san!" Kirishima is directly across from me, to the right of Sero. "Nice to meet you too, Kirishima-kun." The boy with the rough voice went next, he was to Kirishima's right. "Bakugo Katsuki. Didn't mean to freak you out yesterday, so, sorry, I guess." He huffed out. "Thanks, Bakugo-kun. It was just a trauma response, you couldn't have known. I appreciate the apology." "My turn, finally! Kaminari Denki, princess~! Damn, you are fine." Came the boy from before.What did I do? I reached over and karate-chopped his head. :)
"Ow, okay, should've expected that," Kaminari muttered. Ashido, Sero, and Kirishima seemed to laugh at his pain, Bakugo let out an amused 'tch' sound. "I appreciate the thought of you all staying with me, but it doesn't seem rational. We're here to be heroes, not friends." A whine came from Mina. "Yeah, we are here to be heroes, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends! Besides, we might have to work together as pros!" She has a point, but that was my best idea to not have to socialize!
"Told you before, they won't give up until you give in," Bakugo grumbled from his seat. "You sound like
Aizawa-sensei with the "it doesn't seem rational" thing." "Kaminari's right. You even look like him a bit, all tired and antisocial. Almost like you're family." Sero joked.
