Prologue

Looking down at my feet I noticed some blood and dirt on my shoes and under my fingernails, I'm not sure whose it was but sitting in the hospital waiting room handcuffed to a chair I saw the doctor along with two uniformed officers walking towards me and stopped right in front of me "Mrs. Sterling" the doctor said with sympathy and I mentally gagged at him saying my married name, "please my name is Sunshine" I said in a shaken voice. The doctor and one officer sat on either side of me and I looked at the doctor as the officer took off my handcuffs and looked at me and said "please tell us everything that happened?". I took a deep breath and sighed "where would you like me to begin?" I said in a determined voice not knowing this is just the beginning..
