Chapter Fourteen

Sunshine's POV

Waking up I felt somehow well rested and like I was home getting up I walked to the restroom and turned on the shower but as I turned  to look in the mirror I screamed in horror and I noticed a bloody handprint on my forehead, looking closer I felt my body start to shake ''What the fuck is this?" I shouted as I tried rubbing it off and jumping in the shower. I grabbed the soap  and water and started to scrub and scrub until my  skin started to burn. Turning off the water I got out and ran to the mirror and was surprised to see nothing there. Maybe I was just imagining it shaking my head. I sighed "get a hold of yourself Sunny you're going crazy" I said to myself.

Getting dressed I walked out of  the bathroom I froze again when I noticed a single red rose with a note next to it with SUNSHINE written walking up I picked it up and opened the note but it  just had one word written on it "SOON'', shaking I threw the note on the ground and ran down the hall screaming and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a man in a black suit standing at the doorway making me scream louder "Woah Woah Mrs. Sterling calm down! My name is Justin, I am your hired security!" He said throwing his hand in the air like I am a spooked horse,  I looked at him and tried relaxing "I didn't hire any security" I said grabbing a pillow as a shield and he chuckled "No your  husband hired me back when he first bought this place but since it's been empty  for a long time I just come to make  sure everything is safe" he said as he brought in groceries to put away. Looking at him I put the pillow down and walked to him "so you come here to make sure nothing is happening?" I said as I helped him put things away and he just nodded his head "So has anyone besides me been in this place besides me recently? I said thinking back to the note and rose and he just looked like he was thinking hard  "Hmmmm no not since your husband went to jail" he said quickly.

After putting the groceries away I started to really get a good look at the place "So Justin what did my husband tell you about me and this place" I said holding back the gags of calling Gavin my husband but I guess he is, but Justin just stood and looked at the view outside which made me a little nervous wondering what his answer was gonna be. But he just chuckled lightly and looked at me "Well to be honest Mrs. Sterling I've known Gavin since high school" he said softly and I felt so shocked and blindsided, he walked towards me and pulled out his cell phone and started looking through it, until he turned it to me and revealed a picture of two young teens smiling in football uniforms. Of course, even in high school Gavin was just as hot as an adult and I was the fat goth girl with black lipstick looking at Justin. I felt curious to ask "So was Gavin always crazy or did he get that way later on?" I said sitting on the couch but he just looked sad and deep in thoughts. "He was a happy kid, he loved his mother and brother but he was cursed with the devil as a father thanks to him Gavin is the way he is" he said in a rough harsh tone... Well now I need to know his truth, I have to investigate.
