Chapter Four

Sunshine's POV

Sitting in Amy's office I started getting cabin fever and decided to walk around and noticed a big window that overlooked the busy LA city and the tall towers and smiled at the beautiful site and took a deep breath and felt myself start to relax when a deep voice spoke "beautiful isn't it?". Startled, I turned and saw a very handsome man, towering over my short stature and very muscular, not as big and tall as Gavin but still really impressive. Smiling I looked at the city then back at him "Yes I love the city it is always alive and exciting" I said as he walked closer toward the other side of the window and looked out "I meant you but yes the city is beautiful" he said with a smoothing purr, blushing I looked down and mumbled "thank you'' which made him chuckle. Getting closer to him I noticed he had a scar across his face down his eyebrow "Hi my name is Ashton I don't think i've seen you around here, are you new here?" he said, reaching out his hand.

For a minute I was really taken aback by show straight forward he is I mean Gavin was very aggressive and controlling but Ashton seems gentle and genuinely curious, reaching out I shook his hand and giggled "no I don't work here I am just visiting my sister, she works here" I said trying to hide my face but I felt him brush his fingers through my hair to show my face"don't hide your face, so much beauty shouldn't be hidden" he said staring deep in my eyes. Oh my gosh my face is on fire I've never been told that before and he was so smooth giggling I looked at him "I'm sure you say that to all the girls" I said shyly playing with my shirt and noticed him moving a little closer "only girls that I want to take out on a date, are you free friday night?" He said, catching me off guard. I like the confidence that he has and the kindness but why do I have this nagging feeling like I am betraying Gavin.

Looking at him I was so blindsided and amazed by the confidence this guy has and he is not Gavin which is a plus, technically I am still legally married and it's wrong to betray Gavin's trust.... Wait hold it!! What am I saying!?! After everything he did to me and my family, how can I possibly think this way I must be losing my mind. Looking out at the city I started to Rembrandt all Gavin's ex's that came to me after his arrest and them at the trial and all the things he did to me and felt a surge of confidence and turned around and looked at him and smiled "yes I'd love to go out Friday pick me up at 7?" I said feeling my heart beating out of my chest and he handed me his card with his number on it "perfect just text me your address" he said walking away.
