Chapter Five

Sunshine's POV

After a little happy dance I walked back to Amy's office and noticed her working on her company party planning with a vision board and papers scattered all over giggling. I walked over and started picking up the papers and trying to help her organize, looking around at all the ideas for the party I noticed how beautiful the event will be and noticed a letter addressed to Amy from the same prison Gavin and his brother are held at but it looks like she hasn't opened it. Looking at Amy I noticed she was too in her own thoughts to notice me slipping the letter in my back pocket, Amy suddenly froze and looked at the clock "oh shit I'm gonna be late picking up Alex from school and I'm still not done!!" She scattered through her papers and I looked at my watch "well if you want I can pick him up and get him some dinner"I said grabbing my keys and purse. "Oh really sunny thank you I owe you so much!" She said trying to get back to work and I was off.

After a nice drive I pulled into the school parking lot I started walking to Alex's classroom when I bumped into someone and fell on my butt with a thump, looking up I see a guy with sandy blonde hair and big beautiful lip and eyes bending down to help me up "oh girl my bad I didn't see you there!" he said dusting me off "no I'm sorry I wasn't looking I'm just running a little late" I said dusting myself off. He picked up my purse and handed it to me. "I was wondering if you can help me. I am looking for class room 5. It's my first time here to pick up my niece'' he said with a visitor sticker on his shirt ''Oh yeah that's where I am heading follow me!'' I said walking down the hall passing by the other class rooms. ''So my name is Jason'' he said holding out his hand, shaking his hand I smiled "I'm Katherine it's nice to meet you'' I said as we walked up to Alexander's classroom. Looking at the sea of kids coming out I saw Alex run towards me and jump into my arms and I squeezed him tight "hey dovey how was school?" I said walking him down the hall "good! I got to play with a new girl whose name is Susie" he said blushing and I giggled "ooooo Susie!?! My dovey has a girlfriend!!" I said, pinching his cheek and making kissy noises. "No I don't shut up!!" he said, stomping his foot and walking faster to the parking lot.

Once we reached the parting lot we got to the car and unlocked it. I hear Alex shout out "Bye Susie I'll see you later!!" looking over I see Jason and a little girl waving as they walk up to us, "Hey so your niece is my nephew's girlfriend?" I said giggling. Jason stopped and shook his head "yup it looks like it, so when's the wedding?" he said, making me laugh. "So would you like to schedule a play date sometime?" he said looking at Susie as she shook her head yes eagerly and I looked at Alex with puppy dog eyes and smiled rolling my eye "Yeah that sounds great i'm sure his mom wont mind, here's my number just text me and we can schedule something sometime" I said writing my new number on a piece of paper and got into the car, looking back I waved and drove off but looking back at Alex in his car seat I gave him an evil grin and said "I'm telling your mom!" with my tongue sticking out.
