Chapter Ten

(Sunshine POV)

2 Months Later...

I have managed to come to some kind of peace after that night with Ashton I hadn't had anymore Gavin sightings which is helping my anxiety and Ashton and I have been casually dating at a slow pace which is really nice, today is Alex's birthday and everyone has been running around getting everything ready for the party. I was tasked with getting the birthday cake, grabbing my keys I got in my car and started to drive off onto the freeway blasting panic at the disco and scream singing at the top of my lungs finally enjoying myself and feeling new.

Halfway towards the bakery I looked in my rearview and noticed a black SUV with the windows tinted which made me feel uneasy as I started to change lanes and get off the freeway I see them doing the same as me, taking a deep breathe and chuckled relax sunny no one is out to get you just remember you are safe i thought to myself as I pulled into the bakery parking lot I turned off my car and opened my car door and got out and stopped in my tracks when I see the same SUV parked behind me. Holding onto my purse I reminded myself that my gun is loaded and ready if needed but I prayed that I wouldn't have to use it. The car door opened and out walked Gavin's lawyer which made me sigh in relief slightly because he was a nice man so I feel a little better.

As he approached me I noticed that he had a cut on his lower lip and a black eye which looked so painful "Oh no what happened to you?" I said noticing he had a yellow envelope in his hand and he chuckled "Hello Mrs. Sterling well I was car jacked not too long ago but I will be ok" he said trying to avoid eye contact. Rolling my eyes I crossed my arms in defense "That's not my name but what can I help you with today sir?" I said trying to get whatever he wanted to talk about over with, he handed me the envelope and a key. Taking them I looked at him confused. I opened the envelope and pulled out the piece of paper that read "Deed of Sale" across the top with Gavin's signature on it.

"What is this exactly?" I said trying to skim over the paper and he handed me a picture of a building I have seen in downtown LA "Well Gavin purchased a penthouse shortly after you were married as a gift for you and him he called it a nest house but since he has been away it is now signed to you making you the owner of it" he said showing me the contract gavin had signed and I was totally shocked how in the world did he do that or think that we would be in LA. I have so many questions running through my head. Looking at him in disbelief I laughed just straight laughing so hard that I started to cry but I saw that he just looked so confused and looked at the keys "This is real? No joking?" I said putting the keys in my purse. He chuckled and handed me the rest of the documents "Yes he left furniture in it and everything before you guys were supposed to come back so congrats'' he said as he got into his car and walked away, dumbfounded I walked into the bakery and got into my car and drove back home totally out of it and stuck in my thoughts on what the fuck just happened and what to do now.
