I left after that. She doesn't know who she messed up with. Akala ko pa naman matapang ka, show off ka lang pala.

I parked my car in the garage and took out the house keys sa bulsa ng jeans ko. I was about to put my keys on the door knob when I saw the door was opened. I went inside carefully not to make a sound. I tiptoed to get the stick behind the counter of the kitchen. I heard a noise upstairs kaya dahan-dahan din ako umakyat.

Inilapit ko ang tenga ko sa door ng other room and I heard nothing. Lumipat naman ako sa kwarto ko, at doon ko narinig ang tunog. I took a deep breath before opening the door.

"Bakit ka andito sa bahay ko? Paano ka nakapasok? Wala akong spare na key dito ah! Tumalikod ka!" I shouted. It was wearing a black pants and a blue hoodie.

"Turn around!" I shouted again. Dahan-dahan naman siyang tumalikod.

Anong ginagawa niya dito?

"What are you doing here, Thorence?" He looks gwapo pa din. Pft.

"I-I'm sorry for barging into your house, Kate. Correction, our house. I made a spare key when you left...the last time" Spare key? "Lower the stick down, please?" He said. Oo nga pala, papaluin ko dapat siya. I lowered down the stick and sighed.

"Ano'ng ginagawa mo dito, Thorence?" Tanong ko. Ibinaba naman niya ang hood ng hoodie niya at umupo sa chair ko. "I came to see you. I wanted to see what you're doing"

"You came to see me? For what, Thorence?" I said. "You should've told me that you're going to see me, not just barge into my house! I thought you're a thief! I almost hit you with this stick!" I shouted.

"Don't yell at me, please?" He said. "Not yell at you? How am I not supposed to yell at you? You just barged into my house without me knowing! What do you expect me to react? Gusto mo ba,"MY GOD ANDITO KA NA BUTI NAMAN AT BUMALIK KA NA, NAMISS NA KITA!!" ganun ba?!" I can't breathe properly when I get mad.

Lumapit naman siya at hinawakan ang balikat ko "Hey, hey! Calm down. I said I'm sorry. I know that you can't breathe properly when you're mad. So, calm down. I'll get you a water. Wait here" Agad naman niya ako'ng binitawan at umalis. Ilang saglit lang ay may dala na siyang isang baso ng tubig.

"Here. Drink up" Kinuha ko naman 'yon at ininom. "Do you need fresh air? I'll open the window. Wait" Sinundan ko lang siya ng tingin habang binubuksan niya ang bintana ng kwarto ko.

"Why did you came back, Thorence?" I asked. "I'll answer all your questions later. Tumayo ka muna to get some fresh air." Inalalayan naman niya ako sa pagtayo at lumapit sa bintana.

I'm okay now...

"I came to say sorry. For everything that had happened. I didn't think of it. You were always by my side and I chose the person that's nothing, unlike you. I did love you, Kate. Hanggang ngayon. I thought that you love Jay more than me." Yumuko naman siya, trying to hide his tears.

I lift his chin for him to look at me.
"To be honest, loving Jay wasn't part of my plan. Remember the day that I saw you and Shiina then Jay came? I wasn't supposed to kiss him in front of you, but I did just to make you feel jealous. Days passed, I tried forgetting you. Then, one day, nalaman ko na mahal ko na pala siya. Because of the actions he showed to me. Kaya ayun, naging kami nang wala sa plano ko. Pero, ganun talaga ang pag-ibig. Kapag, naparamdam niya na ikaw lang, mahuhulog ka na talaga. Pero wala, hindi parin garantisado ang relasyon mo sa tao. He cheated on me. Inintindi ko nalang, wala na akong magagawa. Nangyari na." I sighed.

"Again, I'm sorry. I hope you forgive me." Sabi niya. He smiled bitterly. "Apology accepted" Sabi ko.

He made Spam and Egg for dinner. He didn't left after we talked about things. Gusto niya siya na daw ang magluto baka daw kasi masunog ko. Mukha ba ako'ng hindi marunong magluto?

I prepared the plates, spoon and fork, and two glasses. While waiting, I prepared juice for us to drink. When he finished, nagsandok siya ng kanin. Siya na daw para naman makabawi daw siya.

"Thank you for cooking dinner." I said. "No problem at all. Eat up. Baka lumamig ang kanin mo" sabi niya sabay subo ng kanin sa kutsara niya. I looked at him, he's really an Ideal guy... after everything that happened, he still managed na bumawi.

"Kate... I need to tell you something" He said. "Finish your food first then I'll tell you" uminom siya ng juice at tumayo para ilagay sa kitchen sink ang plato niya. Inubos ko kaagad ang pagkain ko at inilagay hinugasan ang mga hugasan namin.

I dried my hands after washing the dishes. I looked for him at the living room and he wasn't there. Tinignan ko naman ang kwarto ko at wala siya do'n. Agad naman ako'ng lumabas to look for him.

"I'm up here, Kate" Rinig ko'ng boses mula sa taas. Hanap ako ng hanap, nasa terrace ka lang pala. Agad naman ako'ng pumasok at nag ayos ng sarili bago pumunta sa terrace. I opened the sliding door and sumalubong sa'kin ang sariwang hangin.

I saw him standing there, resting his arms. Naglakad naman ako papalapit sa kaniya. He looked at me, seriously.

"I don't know if this is the right time. But, I want you to know na liligawan uli kita. This time, tayo na. Wala nang iba, kundi ikaw lang." sabi niya. I closed my eyes and sighed. "Thorence... you broke me, you hurt me, you lost my trust" I said straight away. Hindi ko alam kung tama ba ang sinabi ko.

He looked away and looked at me again.

"I'm willing to take however long to get it back." He smiled bitterly. "I'm trying to follow what my heart says" He panted and held my hand. "And it's telling me to court you, and this time, not let you go"

"I love you, Thorence. But, just not right now." I saw his face changed at what I said. "Don't get me wrong, Thorence. Its just that I have to move on first before get into a relationship with someone." He smiled at me. "I'll wait for you, Kate. Seryoso na talaga. Maghihintay na ako." He looked away once more.

"Could I get a hug?" He asked. I nod and opened my arms and he hugged me. I feel safe... now... with him. Let me move on first, and once I'm ready, I'll let you know. I hope that this time, we'll work. This relationship will work.

Niyakap niya ako ng mahigpit at kumala din sa pagyakap. He looked at me, at hinawakan ang mukha ko.

"It was always you" He said and kissed my forehead.
