"They insult us!" Sebastian shouted. He was the Beta of the Pack. And Markian kept looking at the paper in contempt. He was the Gamma. Kevin was just thinking how to explain the situation to his pack. That's when an Envoy came with the treaty. It has been two days since Kevin met Devon. They sure didn't waste any time.

It was Stefan who had read the paper.
The paper which held the treaty. The treaty drawn up was plain and clear, adding the stipulation that Evan Rickson is to be wedded to their Alpha Kevin Flint and Steven Flint to be wedded to Celine Rickson. It shocked everyone. At first they thought that Kevin had found his mate.

But when the question arised who was this Evan Rickson. Kevin had mumbled that he was the White Demon. His subordinates had just gaped at him. The Elders who were also stood shocked. His brothers waited for him to crack a joke and laugh at their priceless faces.

But Kevin stared at the treaty in Stefan's hand. "I am-that fool misinterpreted what I said and thought I asked for the Demon's hand to mate?"

He ran a hand through his hair, teeth clenched.
"What about your mate brother" Steven asked deep in thought.

"How did you say it to him?" Stefan asked, Sebastian slammed his hands onto the table. "What in hell made that idiot think you wanted to marry a demon?" he asked unfazed of the glare that Stefan sent his way. Years of being close friends with Kevin had made him immune to the Flint glares.

"I said that he must give him to me brother!" Kevin tossed the treaty onto the table. They had a week to review all the terms before meeting once more for finalization.

"Goddess" Steven swore. "You should have explained it clearly."

Kevin looked away.

"It's too late now," Stefan interjected, "we will not be able to back out. We are far too along with negotiations to backtrack."

"But a demon!" Sebastian said. "Are you listening to me? Kev is going to have to marry a demon. Him of all people."

"I know," Steven sighed, fingers rubbing at his temples. "Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it. If Devon believes that Kevin meant mating then telling him we mean to kill the demon, is not favourable."

That was an understatement. Kevin sighed. "We are too far, Seb. I'm afraid I must. Devon loves his brother. We are lucky that the Demon intercepted or else Devon would have dissolved the treaty"

"But Kev"

Kevin shook his head. "The 'Ravagers' are on the move already, we need strong allies. I can't just seat around and wait for the end of my pack. Anyway sooner or later the Demon will snap. Now if he wants to play house. I will keep him entertained"

It wasn't a good solution but at the very least the Demon would be contained. They needed his strength too. He hated to admit. But having that monster on their side was dependable. So he would keep him on their side. There was no place holier than his own pack.

"It may be better this way,"Markian added. "It seems Devon truly believes in his brother. We cannot retaliate now. But after a year or two If that monster dies here, then it should be easy. It can be just an accident" He stated

Steven frowned. "Wait, you guys are taking it too far, I didn't say anything before because I was sure that Devon wouldn't give him up. But this is sick. Seriously Sebastian, Markian it's low for us. And Elder Cilia, Edler Thomas aren't you going to say anything?" He hissed.
