Kevin had been looking forward to this meeting since last night after the conversation he had with Evan. Evan had told him that he was bored out of his mind. And with Stefan away, he feels lonely too. As his mate and husband Kevin had suggested that he can join the office if he wants. He had even asked for an extra table and chair in his office room. He was excited. If Evan actually joins his office it meant they would go to office together. And Office romance. Goddess he couldn't just stop his train of thoughts.
He will never get used to the giddy feeling he gets everytime he thinks about Evan. He coughed a little to distract him.
Kevin had called for a meeting upon reaching the office. Evan closely followed him.
The elders council had already started arriving. Kevin's mood soured a little at the sight of Elder Bella. But he kept his calm he couldn't create panic amongst his pack. And with Elder Bella's influence a lot of people supported her. Kevin needed to play his cards carefully.
“Why the sudden meeting Alpha Kevin” Elder Cilia asked
“As of today Evan will be joining the office.!” Kevin declared
The reaction on Elder Bella's face were priceless. She glared at the ground with an ashened face.
"If anyone has any problems regarding it can come to me" Kevin said daring anyone to say otherwise.
Evan couldn't help but smirk a little. His mate was too obvious. And cute.
"We have all seen his works, we don't have any problem" Elder Jasper said.
"Welcome Luna Evan" Elder Daniel said.
With that they fell into small conversations with Evan.
Elder Bella kept quiet but she was the first to excuse herself from the meeting.
Kevin couldn't help but feel uneasy. He wanted nothing more than to expose Bella and foil her coup. But he has to wait and the risk. If he acts now the Pack will turn against Evan. And he doesn't wants that to happed.
...
A few hours later. the construction team was gathered in his office and waited as Evan kept writing something.
Some looked nervous than others.
“What are you doing? ” Kevin asked. He had to go and meet Devon and Celine so he had left Evan in the office for some time. And when he came back he found a dozen people inside his office freaking out.
“Hey, Care to explain why you have such incompetent team?” Evan said as he glared at the said team.
But before Kevin could ask what was wrong. One of them spoke desperately
“I am Sorry, Sorry Luna!” he said, “It won't happen again, I promise.” as he begged.
Evan stood up from his chair “Name” he asked with a smile.
The guy composed himself and stepped forward and introduced himself " Sam, I am an Engineer?”
“Why it feels like, you are asking me if you are an engineer or not. Are you nervous !" Evan asked while smiling somehow even wider.
Kevin looked confused but for some reason Evan clearly looked he wanted to lash out and he was clearly enjoying it.
