Stefan watches as his brother feeds his mate. It has become a daily routine for Kevin to feed Evan. At first Evan was embarrassed but now after a week he is happily munching on the fries Kevin is feeding him.

Their relationship had changed ever since Evan had openned up his heart for Kevin. Stefan was happy for his brother and also for Evan But their presence reminds him of someone, someone he won't say. His chest aches for a moment, the mere thought of him crossing his mind hurting just a little bit.

He huffs and goes back to eating
Red eyes meeting his as he eats his steak.

"How is it? " Evan asks smiling. He looked relaxed sitting beside his mate. Enjoying the attention he was getting from Kevin

"It's good, really thank you for cooking today " He says trying to sound okay

Evan frowns as he snaps his mates hand away from his cheeks.
"Babe I am going out for work. Let me touch you" Kevin whines. And Evan gets too much occupied with the man child to notice Stefan sneaking away

Stefan breathes it in, deeply. Evan was sharp unlike his brother. He was already suspicious of him. He couldn't let anyone know about them. About him. He quickly grabs what he needs for the day, files he brought home with him and paperwork for the new employments he completed last night, and he doesn't stop for anything else. He already ate, already bathed, dressed.

He doesn't take the door, no, instead he hops straight out of the open window. He's on the first floor of his home, but he's done this so many times already that it comes to him as naturally. He lands with a soft thud on the long garden grass that kisses his boots.

The compound has began to wake up by now, vendors setting up their newly made stalls, employees heading to new work places or opening up the newly made shops, It's something he sees everyday now but it still doesn't stop bringing a warmth to his heart.

Knowing that the peace they had wanted for so long was actually there.

The walk to the head office is just as peaceful. He liked it this way. He often takes detours and is often late for work.

When he reaches his office. He notices his brothers motor engine already there. That meant he was late again. The building stands proud in front of him, tall as ever, once inside his cabin he sees his brother there.

Oh.

and Sebastian

He swallows, rough. His heartbeat quickens as his fingers curl into fists, nails digging into the meat of his palms.

Well then.

Sebastian stand there along with Kevin and stares at him with a smile, warmly. It makes Stefan's heart hurt and flutter at the same time, something that always feels odd, but he returns a smaller one nonetheless, one that he knows Sebastian sees. The older man's dark eyes crinkle at the edges, sparkle.

"Stef" he mutters, soft. Stefan wishes he wouldn't say his name like that, but a smaller, greedier part of him relishes in the attention.

"Sebastian," he says back, just the same.

Sebastian steps infront of him closing the distance between them, and comes to stand in front of him. One of his hands, gloved, finds its way up to his face, cradling his cheek, tracing his cheekbones, and the other one winds around his waist. They're chest to chest now, with Sebastian leaning against him, and he's still looking at him like he's everything that was, ever will be. And he looks back at him with the same indulgence. His own hands, paler than Sebastian surprisingly, snake their way up and into Sebastian's hair, holding him by the scalp.

"Good morning," he says, voice low, because but Stefan knows he is putting on a show for Kevin. Who is yet to interupt them. Stefan couldn't help but think how his mates doesn't use pet names unlike his brother. That would have done something to make his heart feel so much better.

"Good morning, Sebastian," and then Sebastian leans forward, placing a kiss on the man's forehead.

Stefan preens under the attention, like a bird, proud. It makes his smile a tad wider.

Sebastian looked handsome. He always looks handsome, period. To him at least. He couldn't imagine a single soul who didn't think so, and if there is one, then he obviously hasn't met them yet.

Stefan stands up on his toes, just to plant his own kiss, a simple peck, onto his mates lips.

The moment ends all too soon. But that's okay, they still have this. And he doesn't want it to end, wishes he had the ability to capture this moment in clarity for eternity

Of course, life deems that he's had enough comfort for today, as he hears his brothers cough.

Stefan tenses up, and Sebastian moves away. Really though? It's because he knows what will happen next. As it always does.
Sebastian's attention shifts to Kevin and looks at him like one might look at the night sky for the first time, in wonder and in love with the stars that are his face and the space that is the rest of his body. Sebastian settles by his side, not too close but close enough to feel his bodyheat.

"You two please stop being so lovey dovey " Kevin yells. Sebastian gives him a fond look. But Stefan knows better. He was well aware of the show Sebastian put up just now.

Though he knows, he keeps quiet because Kevin is his brother, and he loves him almost as dearly as Sebastian his mate.

"Kevin" he says, quiet and polite but if you knew him for a while, you could detect a fond note in his voice.

And then his brother's eyes slide over. And they land on Sebastian, who's eyes meet his.

He can practically see the hearts dancing in the black irises of his mate.

"You too Seb, you are also gross " he yells, louder this time, if only by a little bit.

Sebastian relaxes beside him, an exasperated sigh leaving his lips.

"Kev," he says, "Have I ever complained about you mate?" He asks.

Kevin, of course, pouts. And in the blink of an eye he is yelling excuses about work.

They both end up leaving the office together, Sebastian and Kevin. They always do.

Sebastian doesn't love him, anyone with the right eyes could see it. And he always naturally gravitates towards Kevin.

Stefan doesn't have Sebastian's heart. Kevin was the first one to have it. And he'll always carry a piece of it in his own.

Stefan sighs.

"Back to work," he says, but there's no one around to hear it.

Deep in his chest, something aches. Again. He doesn't want to think about it. He feels that presence in the back of his mind and it feels . . . . smug? No, not the right word, but it's all he can think off at the moment. Oh, he doesn't know.

All Stefan knows is that he always aches, his heart, his bones, and the one thing he can do about it is ignore it because he has better, more productive things to take care of other than envy.
