Stuck

Practice started and I watched the boys play on the field as I finished some homework.
After some time, practice finished and the boys went to drink some water. My eyes followed Johnny and Bobby.
"Cmon Johnny hurry up or else Sensei will have our asses" Bobby said impatiently as Johnny drank some water next to the cooler.
He rolled his eyes and finished drinking his water. He wasn't wearing a shirt. His body was all sweaty. My eyes moved to his toned abs. Well damn.
I quickly move my eyes to Marcus who was now walking towards me so that Johnny wouldn't see me looking at him.
"Hey you want a ride home?" Marcus asks me.
"No I'm fine. I came with my bike." I reply smiling.
He chuckles.
"Fine. I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" He said smiling.
"Yeah" I chuckle and begin walking away.
I rode my bike to the complex and suddenly felt really upset. Ma wasn't home. I entered the empty apartment and walked to my room. I set my bag next to my bed and stretched my arms a little.
I might as well go to Daniels. I quickly got into some comfy clothes then went to Daniels apartment and knocked on his door.
He let me in with a smile.
I helped him with some homework and then we watched some tv together til aunt Lucille came home. She heated up some food and we ate dinner together. After some time I went back home. I locked my apartment door behind me and felt so empty. Its times like these where I wish I had dad by my side. He always supported me. He'd find ways to make me smile and laugh even though it would be annoying- I could really use it right now.
I fell asleep thinking of dad.

It was now morning time. I quickly got out of bed and ate some breakfast. Daniel and I rode to school with our bikes. As we parked and locked our bikes on the bike stand I saw Susan and Ali walking our way.
"Hey y/n! I feel like I haven't seen you since the party!" Ali says with a  smile.
I smile back.
"Yeah! I wish we had more classes together." I reply as we all begin to walk to the lockers.
"Well I heard the cobras are throwing a party. Are you guys going?" Susan asked Daniel and me.
I open up my locker and begin loading it with some books.
"Uhh.. i don't know." Daniel says.
"Me and Marcus are going. I'm kind of second guessing it though." I say as I shove in some more books into the locker.
"Oh come on! We'll all go. It'll be fun!" Susan says in whining manner.
I smile. "Ali, Daniel are you gonna go?" I ask, closing the locker door.
The look Daniel had on his face showed he didn't want to go.
Ali noticed.
"I don't think so. But if we change our minds we'll let you know?" Ali says with a polite smile.
I'm glad she didn't force Daniel.
"Yeah. Of course!" I say.
"We'll catch you later alright?" Daniel says as he and Ali walk to class.
"See ya!" Susan says as she puts her arm around my shoulder and walks with me to bio.
"So whats going on between you and Marcus huh?" She said in a funny manner.
"Nothing." I reply.
She stops and looks at me with furrowed brows.
"Really? It looks like he really likes you" she replies.
"What? No no. We're just friends" I protest.
We walk into the classroom. Marcus sat at the far back. He waved at me and I waved back.
"Friends huh?" Susan says sarcastically.
"Oh shut up!" I say with a chuckle.

I didn't really think about Marcus that way. I mean he is really cute and sweet but I just don't think I like him that way.

I sat down next to Susan and noticed Johnny wasn't there. Just as the bell rang Johnny walked into the class. The teacher was sitting on her desk and she chuckled at Johnnys appearance.

"Wow Mr. Lawrence. You got lucky. Don't make it a habit, ok?" she says
"Yeah, ok" Johnny says with a smirk as he takes a seat somewhere behind me.

The bell finally rang. I got up from my seat and packed up my stuff.
Susan did the same. We got our stuff and walked out of class together and said our goodbyes.
I had math now and she had chemistry.
"See ya at break?" Susan asks as she began walking to the other side of the school.
"Yeah!" I reply as I turn around and head to math.
I walked into math class. Johnny was already there.
I'm trying to ignore him the best I can. I really don't want to get involved with this guy no matter how flattering he is.

I quickly sat down at my seat and took out my notebook and pencil case.
The teacher soon started the lesson and i wrote notes as he spoke.
He handed out some worksheets and said it was due the next day.
I began the worksheet. It wasn't too hard.
"Hey can you show me how to do this question" Johnny asks as he points to the question on his paper.
I move my eyes to Johnny and then to his paper to see which question he needed help with.
"Uh yeah sure."
I started to explain the question while leaning in so that I could write on his paper. This time I made sure to keep some distance between us.

"Oh I forgot- you need to add brackets here or else your answer is wrong." I say drawing the brackets on his paper.
"Ah I see" he says while looking at me.
I quickly adjust back to my old position in my chair and grab my pencil and start doing the remaining questions on my worksheet.
The bell rang so I began to gather my things and put them into my bag. Johnny already got up and he walked to Jenny who was at the front of the class.
"Cmon baby let's go" Johnny said as he put his arm around her. She giggled. I got my bag and left the class. Marcus was waiting outside as usual. He saw me and smiled. I returned the smile and we walked to the cafeteria after greeting each other.
"Hey what did the tomato say to the other tomato during a race?" Marcus asked me as we took out food into our lunch trays.
"What?" I say giggling.
"You need to ketchup" he says with a smile.
I chuckle. "That's a good one" I say with a smile. He reminds me of uncle Louis's jokes. Super cheesy.

We sat at our table- Daniel, Susan, Barbara and Ali were already there. Freddy was absent today. Apparently he got food poisoning. I wouldn't be surprised if it was from the cafeteria food.

We were all talking and at one point I completely zoned out. My mind kept drifting to Johnny. I don't know why but seeing him with that Jenny girl made me feel weird. I wouldn't say I'm jealousy- I'm just uncomfortable?
What am I saying? He's a total ass! He stole my necklace, he spilled milk AND water on me, he touched me- he even pushed Daniel off a hill!

"Helloo?? Earth to y/n!!?" Susan says as she waves her hand in front of my face. I snap out of it and look at her confused.
"What are you thinking about?" She says smiling.
"Uh nothing" I reply to her
She shook her head and laughed. Thankfully she changed the subject.
"I'm gonna be right back" I say as I get up to throw away my trash.
"Okay." I hear Marcus say.

I set the tray on the tray stack and turned around to walk to the table but in front of me was Johnny.
My heart started to beat really fast. Ok what's going on? I move my eyes away from him and I try to walk around him but he steps in front of my tracks.
"Where are you going?" He says in a taunting manner, a smirk on his face.
That smirk made my blood boil. As if I was snapped back to reality from whatever i was thinking of earlier, I look at him annoyed and say:
"leave me alone.", Coldly.
He looked confused but then he rolled his eyes and moved out of my way.

*time jump*

It was now the end of the day. I pretty much avoided Johnny the whole rest of the day. I think if I keep some distance I'll stop thinking about him so weirdly.
I rode home with my bike, Daniel by my side. I entered my empty apartment and sighed.
I went to my room and got changed into some comfortable clothes. Thankfully, I didn't have any homework today.
I heard the phone ring so I pretty much ran to it. I hope it's ma, we haven't spoken in a while.
"Hello?" I say as I pick up the phone in a breathy voice.
"Hey!" Marcus replies.
"Marcus? How'd you get my number?" I ask curiously.
"Oh I have my ways." He says in a sly tone.
We continued chatting for some time.
"Look I gotta go. I'll see you tomorrow?" I say slightly giggling.
"Yeah ok. See ya." He replies.

I hung up the phone and went to my room. I collapsed on my bed, my eyes felt super heavy.
As I was falling asleep I suddenly heard the doorbell ring. I got up and went to the door. I looked through the peephole to see Daniel. I open the door.
"Hey. I need some help with math." Daniel says as he walks into my apartment holding a worksheet and pencil.
I nodded and helped him.
After some time, he got the hang of it and he finished the worksheet. We went to his house and ate some dinner. I excused myself early because i was really tired.
I got to talk to ma before going to bed. She said she picked up some shifts at a grocery store so that's why she's been busy.
I was now in bed, falling asleep.
