Johnny drives us to the dinner.

"I've gotta admit- you look really nice."

"You don't look too bad yourself." I smile looking back at him.

"Yeah?" He teases.

I roll my eyes playfully.

He places his hand on my thigh.

I can feel my cheeks heating up.

I quickly look out the window to hide my blushed face.
Get a grip Y/n!

I turn on the radio and a random song plays.

Johnny slightly bobs his head to the beat, causing me to smile.

We reach Encino Oaks Country club.
My stomach begins to bubble with nervousness.

Johnny opens my door and I get out.
I slightly bite the corner of my lip as we walk to the entrance.

Johnny places his arm around my lower back.

I suddenly feel a sharp pinch at my waist.

"OW!" I whine out of reflex

I immediately hit Johnnys arm and take a step back.

"What the hell?" I ask almost furious.
He smirks

"Keep that attitude for when we go inside. Don't be nervous." A smile begins to form on his lips.

"You didn't have to pinch me." I say rubbing my waist where he pinched me.

"Sorry." He says placing his arm around my lower back again- this time he pulls me closer to him.

I cant help but smile at his action.
We walk inside.

There's so many people here.
You can tell they're wealthy from the way they dress.

Johnny leads us to a table where a blonde woman is sitting down.
She has very similar features to Johnny.

"Hey mom. This is Y/n." Johnny says

"Hi." I say politely.

"Oh my! This is the famous Y/n. You know I've heard a lot about you!"

"Really?" I smile moving my gaze from her to Johnny.

She chuckles

"Sit down! I wanna chat with you." She says pointing to the chair next to her.

"Hey I'm gonna go find Bobby. He wanted to talk. I'll be back in 10" Johnny announces.

I nod and sit next to his mom.

"So Johnny tells me you're new this year. Which school did you go to earlier?"

"I went to Pearl High. It's a pretty good school but I had to leave because my mom decided to move to south seas."

"Reseda huh? I used to live there when I was younger."

"Really?" I ask with surprise laced in my tone.

She nods as she takes a sip of water.
"Don't be so surprised. Not everyone is born rich." She smirks

"I-I'm sorry Ms. Lawrence I just I thought that..." I trail off

She shakes her head and chuckles
"Firstly- call me Laura. Secondly, I married a wealthy man. He takes care of me and Johnny."
I nod.

Something's off. Isn't it obvious that Johnnys dad would take care of him?
I mean he's his dad.

"Tell me about your parents. I hear your mothers out of town?"

"Yeah. She's taking care of my grandma in Canada."
