Sucker

*time jump*
It was now Thursday. Yesterday was pretty boring. I continued to ignore Johnny but we did bicker a bit. He can be really annoying at times.

I was walking to physics with Susan. We sat together and were chatting. Johnny walked in with Bobby and Tommy. They were all laughing.
"Alright settle down. Today we are going to experiment with convex and concave lenses. I have a worksheet for you to complete while you do the experiment." The teacher said.
"Can we pick our partners" Susan asked.
"No. I have a list of who's going to be partnered with who. Please go to your stations with your assigned partner after I call your name."
Susan sighed in defeat.
I giggle at her.
The teacher began to call out names.
I watched as the whole class began to partner up and walk to the experiment station. There were still a few people sitting down.
"Johnny, y/n- station 6" the teacher said.
Of course he's my partner. With my luck, I'm not surprised.
I grab my things and walk to our station. Johnny followed. I fiddled with the lenses and began writing a few things down.
"What are we supposed to do?" Johnny said annoyed.
I rolled my eyes and explained everything to him.
He nodded and then picked up a lens.
We started our experiment, everything was going well until Johnny took a lens from me.
"I bet you, I can hit Tommy from here" he said aiming at Tommy with one of his eyes closed.
I scoff at him.
"Would you focus please?" I say trying to take the lens from him but instead he moves it away from my reach.
"You're gonna have to try harder than that sweetheart." He said with a smirk.
Oh boy. I straighten my posture and roll my eyes at him.
I walk back to where I was earlier and then use the other lens to do the remaining work. That was until Johnny snatched the lens from my hand.
"What are you doing!?" I say annoyed.
He smirked at me. This has to be the most annoying smirk I've seen.
"Cmon Johnny give it back" I say.
"Come and get it" he says innocently.
I try to take it from his hands but he instantly moves his hand back, out of my reach. I try again but fail, he moved back. I roll my eyes and sigh. I then try to take it again, this time I got a grip of the lens but Johnny was still holding on to it. It became a tug of war until it slipped out of both of our hands. It fell to the floor and broke, causing the teacher to yell:
"LAWRENCE AND Y/L/N! GET OVER HERE!" 
I rolled my eyes and walked to the  teachers desk, Johnny followed behind me.
"In all my years of teaching, I've never seen students this reckless! And y/n. I am beyond surprised to see you acting like this- especially given your previous school record. You should know better." The teacher said
What the hell am I supposed to even say to this guy?
I slightly nodded my head in agreement with him.
"We're sorry. It won't happen again Mr.Jones." Johnny spoke up innocently.
I look at Johnny annoyed. He's probably already scheming ways to get me into trouble again.
"It better not. Look, I'll be nice this time, no detention. Instead you'll do good for the environment" the teacher said.

Me and Johnny exchange confused looks and then look back at the teacher.
"Garden duty" he said chuckling.
Great.
He sent us back to our seats and made us do a worksheet since we broke our equipment for the experiment.

*time jump*
School finally finished. I was exhausted but I had to go Mr. Jones' class for the garden duty instructions.
Johnny came as well and the teacher took us outside and gave us one hose each. He said to water all of the plants that bordered around the school and then go to his class after we finished.

I was on the far left of the school while Johnny was on the far right.
It was still super sunny. At one point I dropped the house and tied up my hair because it was just way too hot.
I continued to water the plants as I walked around. Johnny was pretty silent. That was until he came next to me.
"So what did you do in your last school that got you in so much trouble?" Johnny asked as he watered the plants to my right.
I look up at him with a confused look, still watering the plants.
He looked at me and raised his brows, telling me to answer his question.
I smile nervously and shrug my shoulders as I look back at the plants.
" uhm. I... I cheated on my final." I lied.
He laughed.
"Yeah right." He smirked.
"What did you actually do?"
I sighed.
"Why does it matter?" I said slyly while raising my brows, questioning him.
"Cmon tell me" he replied with a grin
"No." I say as I give him a petty smile. I look back at the plants as I water them.
"Fine..." Johnny said as he brought up the hose from the plants to me, soaking me in water.
"OH MY GOD!" I screamed.
I immediately brought my hose up and began to soak him as well. I laughed as he got drenched in hose water.
We both laughed as we sprayed water on one another.
"Ok! Ok! Truce!?" Johnny said as he moved the hose away from me and brought his hand up to cover my hose.
I brought my hose down and gave him a smile.
"Fine." I say with a laugh.
He smiled back.
"Ok.. well, I think we're done." Johnny said looking at the plants and then at me.
"Yeah..." I say.

*Johnnys Pov*
This was fun. We were both soaking wet at this point. We started walking to Mr. Jones' class. It was pretty cold- I noticed y/n was rubbing her arms with her hands for warmth.
We were near my locker.
"Hey one second" I said as I unlocked my locker and took out an extra shirt I had.
"Here take it." I said to her as I passed her my shirt.
She caught it and looked at me confused.
"Thanks?" She said slightly smiling.
I smirk. She's pretty cute.
She walked to the bathroom and then after a couple of minutes she came out wearing my shirt.
In that much time I took off my shirt and squeezed most of the water out.
When she came out her eyes landed on me and her gaze lowered to my body.
I smirked as she turned her head to look away.
"Uh. Thanks again.. for the shirt." She said shyly as she looked into my eyes.
I shrugged.
She started to walk to the classroom so I followed her.

Y/n's pov:
We went back to the classroom and the teacher let us go home.
Johnny asked if I needed a ride but I declined.
We went our separate ways and went home.
When I entered my apartment I suddenly felt a wave of loneliness.
Like I entered my reality: emptiness.
The phone rang so I picked it up. It was ma. We talked for a bit and then I went to take a shower. I folded up Johnnys t shirt and placed it on my dressing table. I walked into the shower and turned the handle for hot water to come out.
The events of today replayed as I washed my hair.
After my shower I laid down on my bed. I was so tired. I just wanted to sleep but i remembered I had homework. I got up and started my homework. After some time I finished and then I made a grilled cheese sandwich. As I ate, I kept thinking about johnny. He wasn't that bad. I had fun with him. Even though he can be annoying at times. He can still be pretty nice. I mean, he did give me his shirt.
I heard the doorbell ring so I got up and opened it. Daniel stood there smiling.
"Hey y/n. You hungry?" He asked.
"I was just eating" I reply with a smile
"Oh well ma made casserole. You can join if you want?" He asked kindly.
I smiled.
"Yeah I'll join. I'll be there in 5" I say.
"Ok see ya."
I quickly finished up my sandwich and then went to Daniels apartment.
I ate some of the casserole and felt full.
Afterwards we all talked. I began to feel sleepy so I excused myself and went home.
I fell asleep on my bed like a baby. Tomorrow is Johnnys party.
