Starry Night Kisses (Sonic & Shadow) (Sonadow)

(This is a sequel to "Akward Rescue" that takes place about a week after the events of "Akward Rescue")

Shadow was sitting at his home, late at night. He was staying up late to finish some reports and send some emails, he was almost done when he heard footsteps coming from the outdoor porch, he braced himself for a lecture. Rouge always hated it when Shadow stayed up late.

Shadow was surprised when Sonic came in through the door and not Rouge. Shadow looked up from his computer to see Sonic walk into the living room. Shadow immediately noticed that Sonic seemed exhausted and was rubbing his eyes sleepily.

Sonic: "Hey Shads, sorry for coming in so late..."

Shadow: "It's fine Sonic, what are you doing here so late?"

Sonic: "There's a construction site near my house and their working really loud really late into the night, I couldn't sleep because of the noise they were making and I didn't want to go to Tails house and wake him up..."

Shadow patted a spot on the couch next to him and nodded to Sonic to tell him to come sit down. Sonic groggliy stumbled over to the couch and plopped himself down next to the black and red hedgehog, Shadow kept working away on his computer, not even realizing that Sonic was leaning on him until he had sent the last email of the night.

Shadow looked up at the clock, being the ultimate life-form it was easy for him to see the clock mounted on the wall across from him, even in the dark, the clock read: "11:44 pm" It was much later then he realized.

Shadow turned off his computer and closed it, he then felt movement next to him and saw Sonic shifting around and opened his eyes, looking up and locking eyes with Shadow.

Shadow: "You should be asleep, faker."

Sonic: "So should you, it's late."

Shadow: "I was busy. I'll fall asleep soon."

Sonic: "I think I can speed up that process."

Shadow: "Oh really?" "How do you-"

Sonic suddenly wrapped his arms around Shadow's torso and pulled the taller hedgehog down onto the couch so he was laying down. Shadow was incredibly flustered now, he didn't expect this from Sonic. Sonic playfully grinned at Shadow and kissed Shadow on the forehead, causing him to blush more.

Shadow: "What-how did you..."

Sonic: "Feeling sleepy yet?"

Shadow let out a huff and pulled Sonic close to him, cuddling the blue hedgehog in his arms, Sonic wrapped his arms around Shadow and rested his head against Shadow's chest, snuggling into his chest fur, the two hedgehog's were quickly overtaken by fatigue and the two fell fast asleep.

*In the morning*

Sonic was woken up by soft rays of sunshine drifting into the room, Sonic was confused as to where he was until he saw Shadow sleeping with his back turned to Sonic and he remembered the events of last night. Sonic yawned and started to get up when Shadow started to shift in his sleep and woke up, sitting up on the couch, oblivious to the awake blue hero behind him. Shadow turned around was surprised to see that Sonic was awake.

Shadow: "Oh...your awake already?"

Sonic: "Yeah, guess I'm an early riser."

Shadow smirked playfully at Sonic and put one arm on either side of Sonic, trapping him in-between Shadow and the couch.

Shadow: "You know blue hedgehog, I never got to next you back for those two kisses you gave me. I guess now is a good is a better time then ever to get payback..."

Sonic gulped nervously, a grin spreading across his face, Shadow wrapped his arms around Sonic's waist and pinned Sonics arms to his sides. Shadow pulled Sonic close to him and started to pepper kisses all over Sonic's muzzle, forehead and neck, making Sonic burst into a fit of giggles.

Sonic: "Shahahdow whahahait! I'm sorrhehehehey!"

Shadow: "Awww~ The invincible blue hero has adorable sounding giggles~"

Sonic: "Nohohoho fahahahair! I dohohont have cuhuhute giggles!"

Shadow: "Say that I'm the best or I'll kiss you all day, faker." "Your choice~"

Sonic: "Shahahahadows the behehehest!" "Thehehere!" "I dihihihid it!"

Shadow released Sonic with a safistied smile on his face, Sonic flopped down onto the couch to catch his breath. After a few seconds Sonic sat up and felt his stomach rumble with hunger, Shadow heard this too and got up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen, Sonic got up to follow him.

Shadow: "Stay on the couch Sonic, I'll make breakfast for us both."

Sonic: "Oh, okay!"

Shadow made breakfast for the two of them and the two ate the delicious breakfast Shadow made. After breakfast Shadow walked Sonic back to his house, holding hands the entire way. Once they made it to Sonic's home Sonic turned to Shadow nervously.

Sonic: "Uhhh...Shads, do you remember the first time we kissed?"

Shadow: "Yes, why?"

Sonic: "Well...can we....kiss again?"

Shadow smirked lovingly at Sonic and pulled the blue blur close to him, before giving Sonic a kiss on the forehead, Sonic giggled and gave Shadow a kiss on the cheek, the two hedgehog's spent the rest of the day together, cuddling and watching movie's together.
