Felix's POV
Victory tasted glorious. Bella would surely leave now, and me? Well I would be Pan's number 1 lost boy again. She would be out of the way.
*time skip*
Bella hadn't talked to Pan in a month. And yet she still wasn't leaving. The whole point of that argument was for her to leave. The only reason I took Pan there was to make sure that she heard it. I saw her leave, I saw her leave with that book. And I know that whenever she runs off with that stupid old book, she goes to Pan's thinking tree.
I don't even know how she can be allowed in it! We aren't allowed anywhere near it usually! Makes me question her, whether she even realised what that tree is, what if Pan hadn't even told her? Well then, that proved the point further. He favours her, even if he doesn't love her.
Pan had been absolutely miserable for the months. Not being with her made him even weaker. And the boys were being woke every night by her stupid screams again. She was a nuisance. And while she was still there to remind him of the past, she was a danger to him. A danger to all of us.
I rowed and rowed, pushing the little boat I sat in all the way out to the sea. Armed with only a sword that was covered and dripping with dream-shade. The wooden boat hovered above the anchor of hooks ship, cowering at the size comparison of the huge ship and sails. A rope ladder was swung over the edge, probably for crew to climb in and out of boats ready to paddle to land for food. I clambered onto it, tying a rope from my boat onto the ships chain so it wouldn't float away.
As I clambered over the side of the boat and landed hard on my feet, swords were met with my neck, one wrong move and my days were over. Hook's smirking face smiled as my arms were raised slightly into the air. "What purpose have you got on my ship." He said, his voice drunkenly sliding between notes as he spoke.
"I don't want to attack, nor do I mean harm." I said loudly, with confidence and pride. After all, the high of my latest victory was still in my mind. "I'm here to propose a deal Hook." Hook looked me up and down as if I were a fresh piece of meat. Then to his crew.
"Lower 'em mates. Let's see what he's got to say." All swords were lowered, and I slowly looked up in the stooped position I had naturally taken.
"I have a trade for you Hook. A deal, for you to stop chasing after Pan." Hook's eyes flashed with a hint of greed and anger for a split second, before I returned to speaking. "A girl washed up on our shores a while ago. And she's come to be quite a nuisance. She's rather beautiful, some would say." His eyebrows raised in interest.
"Go on. Im listening."
"You have a son Hook, she's about his age." Hook looked towards his son, tall, rugged and with the same looks as Hook himself. "If I found a way to get her on this ship, she's all his." I smirked as the evil of the idea settled in my mind. "It'll hurt Pan, and your boy will have someone to admire." I paused as he thought about it. "So what do you say Hook? The girl, in return for you to leave Pan and us alone?" an evil grin matching my own settled around Hook's face.
"you've got yourself a deal boy." I nodded, and turned swiftly to clamber back over the side of the boat. "hold on, how can I find this lost girl." my head snapped back at the last words, but for now I decided to focus on the task at hand.
"I will make sure she meets you willingly. Then all you have to do is get her on the boat." Hook nodded, his eyes glancing quickly towards the sharp silver killer that lay on his hand. "be warned, she is strong, she won't go easily." I found my footing on the ladder and hung with my head and shoulders peeping over the edge at them. "meet her at skull rock, tomorrow night."
"I'll see the lost girl then." his smile of satisfaction was terribly expressed.
"never call her that." I snapped. "she is NOT one of us." with that final word, I slid down the ladder, untying my boat and rowing to shore as quickly as I could.
My boat his the shore with a soft push. I tied it up where I had previously taken it, and turned to head to the camp, hoping no one would've noticed my absence. "where do you think you're going?" his stern voice said behind me. Pan.
"Back to the camp. why, where are you going?" I tested my luck.
"Why have I just seen you rowing back from Hook's ship?" he said angrily. His voice only raising slightly. It was slightly intimidating, however, I continued to test his patience.
"Maybe the misery is sending you crazy Pan." his eyebrows raised up and his eyes widened in angry shock. he stepped towards me, coming face to face with me.
"How dare you." his voice had lowered once more, to a whispered growl of warning. "tell me the truth Felix." I smirked, letting his irritation build up more.
"I don't think I will Pan." I saw his eyes cloud with the old evil he had lost with Bella. A smile crept onto his face, his eyes slowly ran to his hand as it twitched slightly beside him.
'You know Felix, I haven't tested my dark magic in a long time." my blood ran cold. Pan used his magic as a threat often, well he used to, but never on me. "I think I'd like to have some practice...." there was a pause as his hand glowed with a purple light of electricity. "right now...."
His hand shot out at me, I was thrown back as the pain seeped into my veins and my bones. like a thousand arrows being slowly scraped deep in my skin. I let out loud screams of pain. "Pan! Stop!" I pleaded immediately. The pain was causing my body to shake uncontrollably, I could feel my heart rate become irregular and stuttering. "PAN!"
"Tell me!" he yelled, only slightly. I had to think of my lie, what I was going to tell Bella, right now. If I told them something different they would surely figure it out. come on Felix, come up with something.
Pan's POV
Felix was screaming, rolling around on the floor to try and stop the pain I was causing. I should have stopped. This wasn't me anymore! But something in me was just gone, the thing that prevented me from wanting to cause the boys pain. I had been so happy, this warm feeling simmering away in my chest and getting bubbly at certain times. But that simmer had died down, and my blood ran cold with dark, thick, liquid evil. I didn't care about anything, I didn't want to care. "tell me!" I yelled. Felix creased up his face. Then screamed through the pain.
"I was finding her a way home!" an arrow hit my stomach, well, at least it had felt that way. I bent over, placing my hands on my knees for support. no, NO. Please say this was a lie, he couldn't have found one, she can't go home. I...I need her. I looked back up to see that my magic had stopped its attack on Felix, and he was panting on his knees, recovering from the torture I had put him through. "She can't stay here Pan, it's making you miserable, you don't have to admit that, I can see it." he came to a standing position, letting his feet plant firmly on the ground and glaring at me, as I struggled with my loss of breath and stability. "Hook agreed to take her home. And Noah. If he wants to go." the arrow dug in further.
No, not Noah. Please not Noah. Noah had changed his way with me. He no longer feared me like most of the small children did. He treated me like an older brother. Or even a Father to him. Without it being weird or creepy of course. But me and Bella looked after him. Together. Like a little family. Well, we used to anyway, all of that had gone away, but I couldn't lose them. I couldn't!
"Felix." I whispered in the silence. the only noise being the crashing waves next to us. "say that you're lying."
"No."
"Felix!" I raised my voice, attempting to stand up straight again. "Say it's not true! Say you're lying!" He was calm and collected. He uttered his last phrase, leaving me then stranded on the beach, on my own to swallow down my upset and frustration.
"But then I would be Pan."
