Bella's POV

Peter and I flew to an area of Neverland that no one went to. I could feel the satchel of my belongings thumping against my hip as air passed swiftly by it. We were nearly silent the whole time, simply gliding above the forests and beaches. We landed gently, with Peter's help, in an area of Neverland I'd never seen before.

It was freezing, bordering what looked like a forest so thick with fog that even a blind man would be able to tell the difference of light. Whispers of voices that sounded so familiar drew me towards it, and as terrified as I was, part of me was longing to go in. I gestured to walk forward but Peter's hand wrapped itself around my wrist. "This way." He request, leading me away from the area.

"What was that?" I asked as we walked.

"The darkest area of Pixie woods." He said seriously. "There's a reason this area is so quiet, you get stuck in there it's hard to get out." We walked for a while longer, Peter's hand sliding to intwine with my fingers.

"Peter, where are we walking to." He paused in his tracks and looked at the ground as if guilty of a crime.

"I don't know." He sighed. "I was trying to stall you. But I guess here is as good as anywhere." He looked around, clearing the space of rocks and stray branches. "Once I open the portal you only have about 10 seconds to get through, otherwise it closes up." I nodded. "I'm going to cover my eyes once it's open. I can't watch you go." He spoke to me as if this were some sort of business meeting, as if he was hollowing out any emotion he was tempted to show and simply handing me the empty shell of his heart to take as a memory. "Ready?"

I nodded. He held both arms out straight with flat palms and closed his eyes tightly. I felt the atmosphere change around us, it became tense and pressured. He closed one hand into a fist, tightly shut his eyes and made a perfect circle in the air with the open hand. Infront of him, a spark of lights formed in the air, growing quickly and forming a hypnotic swirl of bright light.

"Goodbye my love." He whispered as I stared into the lights, feeling the pressure trying to pull me into the vortex.
