An Unexpected Love

3- On My Mind

I woke up like usual. I made my bed, 0and headed to the kitchen to eat my breakfast. When I finished eating my breakfast I went to check my phone like I usually do all the mornings. It was strange I had a message from an unknown number.

"Good morning!".

"Good morning, who's it?" I texted back.

"Its Richard. I know you must be wondering how I got your number, well a friend of yours gave it to me yerserday after you left."

"Ohh, yeah I was wondering how you got it."

"Well, now you know. I have to say you looked so pretty yesterday."

"Thank you, that's the first time a guy has said that to me."

"Well I'm glad that it was me who did that. But seriously you looked amazing."

"Jajaja yeah thanks :)"

"So what are you doing?"

And that's how we passed the day, texting each other and getting to know one another better.

I have always had so much trust on my mother that I decided to tell her about Richard.

"Mom there is this kid that is talking to me and I know that you and dad know him. He has come here a few times With his dad but I barely know him. He talked to me at Ever's fifteenth birthday party and we danced. He's talking to me now and I think he is interested in me."

"Emma I'm no one to tell you what to do, you make your own choices, but you have to pick the right one."

"Ok mom I will try to. Well I'll see you later after school. Bye!"

I have to look for Jai, I need to tell her what is happening. I have to tell her everything! When I got to school the first thing I do is look for her. Thankfully she was in the entrance and I ran to where she was and tell her, well not tell her, I practically screamed to her that I had to tell her something.

"Emma please calm down you're scaring the shit out of me!"

"Jai, the party was awesome you were right of everything! I had a great time and I danced with these boy named Richard he danced like an expert! And then he has been talking to me and I think he's interested in me by the way he talks to me and everything."

"Emma, breathe before you pass out!"

"I am! It's that I need an advice. I know and it must be that he is interested in me but you know what I say. I don't want to fall in love with anyone neither with him! I don't want to suffer like others do."

"We all suffer in life Emma it's not like, if later in the future you get to fall in love, you won't suffer. If you don't try it you will never know"

"You know what I will do, I will block him and I won't talk to him again. I know I will suffer and you know how I am." I said, but I really didn't want to do it.

"It's your decision I know you will choose the best one."

"I will do that, I won't fall in love with him."

"But Emma how will you not talk to him if you see him every Friday in that group you go to?"

"You have a point there, I will try not to make eye contact with him, that way I won't feel so bad after I block him."

"It's okay I know you will be able to do this you are strong and you know that no matter what happens and whatever you need I will always be here."

"Thanks Jai I knew you were the right person for me to talk to of this. Now lets go to the class room were 6 minutes late."

I passed the entire day thinking of what I was about to do. And if these didn't work? If I fall in love with him?
