An Unexpected Love

33- What Happened

I heard people screaming like if they were in rush. but the I fell asleep again.

My head hurts... I open my eyes to see my mom seated beside me on a chair and my dad and brother in other two seats in the other corner. I looked at my hands and I have a needle and the thing to take the oxigen.

"Where is he?" I asked mom. She stayed silent. "Where is he!?" I screamed tears falling from my eyes. "where is he?" I cried.

"Sweety he is in surgery. They had to take him there fast. He is in a very bad situation." I closed my eyes very hard and kept crying.

"He will be okay, we just have to have faith in God." The pain I felt in my chest was horrible, I couldn't find air it was hard to breath. "Mom, I'm loosing it. I can't breathe mom! My chest hurts very bad." She hurried and called the nurse. Like three of them entered the room, I was already feeling sleepy my heart beat began to raise. One of them cheked my heart beat and my pulse.

"Okay, I understand the situation you are passing. One of the nurses is going to bring you a medicine you shall drink it. After that you might feel a bit sleepy that is normal. Have any doubts?" My mom answered no.

"I have one, well its not a doubt but I need to know where is Caleb Knight."

"I'll go check where he is, but first drink the medicine when you wake up there will be a paper that says the room and everything."

"Okay thank you."

"Your welcome. Mrs. Johann may I please talk with you outside."

"Yes." they both walked out of the room, leaving dad and my brother in the room. Dad aproached to me, with sad face. I was afraid he'll form a show about the car accident but instead he said other.

"How are you feeling?"

"I feel quite normal, just a bit sleepy." I said.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

"The light was green for us but then out of nowhere a car just crashed into ours and it hit Calebs door. The impact was so strong I hit the window, all I know is hearing people screaming like in rush and I heard people runing. In that moment I fell asleep and I don't know what happened next until now."

"Wow, thank God anything really bad happened to both of you. Caleb is in a critical situation, we didn't get to see him when we arrived, they Called his parents they are about to arrive here in any moment. I hope he heals very soon. He is a very nice guy though."

"Thanks dad. I just hope he gets out of there fast, I really want to see him."

"He wont take long, I know it."

"I hope."

"You must be tired, I'll just let you sleep for a while. If anything happens when you wake up I will tell you."

"Thanks." I turned a bit and inmidiately I fell asleep.

Caleb's pov.

All I have in my mind is Emma. I don't know where she is and how is she. I cant seem to open my eyes. I feel so tired and so sleepy.

In a while I fell in a deep sleep.

I can finally open my eyes. Mom is in my right on a seat there. And dad, Megan and Jake are standing near the door. I remembered Emma.

"Where is she?" I asked to who ever wanted to answer me.

"She is in another room." Mom answered.

"Which room? I need to see her."

"You have to stay there resting. You just came out of a surgery." Megan said walking near me.

"I can't stay resting when I don't know how she is. Please I need to see her, mom." I ignored the part of the surgery, I just need to know if she is okay.

"Let me see what I can do."

I guess she went to the counter to check in what room she is in. God I just hope she is okay.

A few minutes later mom entered the room. "So?" I asked.

"She is five rooms to the right." I got ready to jump out of bed to see her but my ribs hurt so badly. "Agh!" I screamed of pain.

"Hunny! You just got a surgery you can't stand up!" Mom rushed to me.

"I need to see her mom, I don't care if this hurts as hell." Mom rushed out of the room and looked for a wheel chair. She placed it next to me. With a lot of battle with the pain I finally could sit in the chair. I didn't wait for mom to pull the chair, I did it by myself hurrying up to look for the room.

"Hunny wait for me! You are going to fast and on the wrong way!"

"Shit." I turned the other way getting close to mom. We found the room, my heart beating very very fast.

I aproached her, the love of my life, the girl that as time passes I love more.

"Emma!" I cried. Standing up and battling with the pain on my ribbs. I held her in my arms. She cried on my shoulder as well and massaged my hair.

"I was begining to think I lost you." She cried.

"You didn't loose me darling, I'm okay. Ohh God I was so scared for you to leave me. When the accident passed you were asleep almost dead, there was to much blood that for a minute I thought you were going to die. The ambulance took you from my arms. I was so desperate, I didn't know what to do. That was when I fell asleep, not knowing what happened next." I looked at her in the eyes, tears falling from mines. I have never cried for a girl in my life and neither in front of one, but the thought of loosing her made me feel horrible. I wouldn't want to live if that happened.

"I am okay, Caleb. Are you okay, they told me you were in surgery, I got really scared."

"Yeah, I think is something with my ribs. I just woke up, but I forgot to ask what happened to me."

"You silly." Emma joked. "Carol, may you please tell your son what happened to him, he has no idea."

Carol giggles. "Yeah, he was so on you that he forgot about him. I tried telling him, but you know how he is. Well you have five broken ribs and they had to do something, you know the surgery. I forgot why, your father knows. He has to be resting, but he needed to see you."

"Caleb... you have to follow the doctor's instructions. You have to rest babe." She said while touching my cheek.

"I don't want to rest, I want to stay with you." I said not wanting to leave. I don't care about me, I care about her.

I heard her giggle. "You are just like a little boy." She laughed. "I am so glad to know you are okay and still with me and I am more glad to know that you were worried for me and came to see me. I would've done the same. Now go to rest so we can both leave this place very soon." She kissed my cheek.

"Okay, okay, I will, but just for you."

"Great,now go. I want to get out of here very soon and I want you to come out with me, so do as the doctor says."

"Okay." I gave her a kiss on the forehead. "See you later, darling."

"See you later." She smiled.

I went back to my rolling chair, my ribbs screaming, and went stright to the door, gave her one last look and went to my room. I told mom I wanted to rest a bit since my ribs really hurt like a lot.

One week and a half I finally got out of the hospital. Emma got out earlier like in two days. She visited me every day and stayed with me making me jokes and telling me how school was.

Its night now, I went out today to look for a same new car and Emmas birthday present, since she is having her birthday in four days. I found the same car I had in better conditions and I bought it since I really like that car.

I found Emma's birthday gift. I hope she likes it. Cant wait for her birthday I want to see her face already. I went to bed and fell asleep thinking of her. I always have her on my mind.
