An Unexpected Love

21- What I never thought

Summer passed quickly, I neven passed much time with Richard. We just got out a couple of times and what mostly we did was texting.

School already started and it has been one month since that. I started pretty good with great averages on my grades. This year the school bus won't pick us up, so I won't see him like I used to and also this year Richard graduates and I can't wait for it, mostly because maybe I will see him next year after he graduates and second because it will be his prom and maybe he will invite me so I can go with him and that would be great. But I think he wont since we are only friends, if I were his girlfriend maybe but he wont ask me yet. Everyday of my summer vacations I had the hope that he would come home or something and ask me, but he didn't, maybe he doesn't feel the same anymore. I prefer not to think about that and see what time bring out for me or us.

Tomorrow is the city's carnival and I told Richard if he could go so we could pass time together, and he said yes. Can't wait!

Today is the day Richard and I will go to the city's carnival with our families. I hope we pass a great time.

"Emma, today you should dress super pretty." My mom said, which it souds weird of her telling me that.

"Why?"

"I don't know but if you will see him then why not dress up pretty."

"You have a point and I haven't seen him like in days."

"You have an hour left so go and take a bath and then decide on what to wear."

"Okay mom, thanks. You are the best."

"I know I am." She said joking.

I took a long bath more like a relaxing bath. And went to my closet. Ugh! Why is it to dificult to pick something that would look good on me?! I have two clothes on top of my bed and I can't decide on which one to wear. I decided on black jeans and a white blouse that the top is transparent and look pretty besides it adjusts to my figure and I love it, and my black sandals. I put my make up (just a little), black eye liner on the top (very thick) and on the button, and creamy lip gloss. I went to my moms room to see what she tells me.

"Mom, how do I look?"

"You look beautiful, he will surely like it."

"I hope so."

I eated something simple because the nerves didn't give me hunger. And when we were all done I texted Richard to see if he was ready.

"You there?"

"Yea, we are already here and it's full of peaople."

"It's a carnival, it should be full. See you in a few then."

"Okay, see ya. "

When we arrived there, the place was full of people like Richard said.

"Richard, where are you?"

"I'm in front of the stage, in the corner."

"Okay, I'm already here. Let me see if I find you with all these people."

"I told you it is full."

After searching for a while, I saw Brenda. I walk there with my family following. I walk beside Brenda.

"Hi."

"Hello Emma!" She hugged me and I went to where James and Andrew were and did the same.
