**Time skip to Saturday**
"You sure you're okay with coming Kels? You don't have too." Vic asked from outside my bedroom door. I was just supposed to be in here grabbing a jacket, but what I was really doing, was sitting on my bed trying to prevent an attack. I'd had one slowly rising since Vic showed up at my door, it hit me, that although I already knew everyone there, it was the first time seeing them since we split. I worried what they would do, or say, I didn't know how they'd act towards me, or how I was supposed to act towards them. It was still awkward for me to be around just Vic, let alone his friends too. What was I supposed to do, or say? Before, I could just stay, curled up by Vic's side when we saw them, but that wasn't an option this time. He wouldn't keep me calm, or be able to make me feel safe and secure like he used too. Wouldn't be able to make me feel comfortable and relaxed like before.
I'd be in a room, with people I'd only met a handful of times before, in an unfamiliar environment, in a whole new situation, with no one there to make me feel safe and comfortable. Really wasn't the best situation for someone like me, who had anxiety and was extremely socially awkward."Y-yeah. I'll be out in a sec." I dragged myself off the bed and pulled out my black Naruto hoodie from my closet. I slipped it on over my shoulders and sighed at myself in the mirror before finally heading out of my room.
"If at any point you want to leave just say okay?"
"I will." I gave Vic a small nod and smile.
"They all know the score, they know we're trying to be friends after everything but know it's still a working progress, and they're not going to be any different towards you then before. And I've told them not to make any stupid comments, or jokes, so don't worry okay? But if you really want, we can just stay here and watch a film?"
"No, no, it's okay, I'll be fine, just....well you know what I'm like." I gave a small nervous chuckle.
"Yeah I do, but like I said, if at any point you want to go, then just let me know okay? And if you reallt don't feel up to going, you don't have too."
"No I want too. It'll be good to see them again, j-just feel like it might be a little...awkward."
"It might be a first, but hey, it was with us but now we're...kinda better at being less awkward."
"Yeah, I guess so. Let's go then."
"Alrighty." Vic smiled and we headed out to his car."So uh, Simon doesn't mind you coming?" Vic asked, braking the silence in the car.
"Umm, no, we uh, we broke up."
"Oh, right yeah, sorry I forgot you said you where gonna...my bad."
"It's cool." I shrugged lightly.
"How you taking it?"
"Alright I guess. I wasn't in love with him but I still cared about him, so yeah. I'm adjusting."
"Well if you wanna talk..."
"It's fine honestly." I cut him off mid sentence. "It was better that it happened sooner rather then later and let's just leave it at that." I looked over to Vic, who looked a little upset by my sudden outburst.
"Sorry." He mumbled, lowering his head a little.
"No...no I'm sorry, I-I shouldn't have snapped like that." I sighed, my heart sinking a little. I didn't mean to snap at him, it's just talking about your now ex, with your ex, wasn't exactly the most comfortable thing in the world.
"It's okay, I shouldn't have pushed."
"You didn't, you where just trying to be a...friend. It was unfair of me."
"Honestly it's okay kels. Guess it's gonna take a little to work out boundaries and stuff huh?" He looked back over to me and gave me a small smile.
"I guess so." I nodded, returning the small smile before turning away to watch the scenery pass us by out of the window."There he is!" Austin smiled as we walked in the door. "And you still look exactly the same. How are you?"
"Uh, good thanks." I returned his smile and nodded.
"Hey guys." Alan appeared with a grinned, wearing a tiara on his forehead.
"Umm...what's with the tiara?" Vic giggled.
"I'm a ginger princess, it is my birthday and I can do what I want, problem?"
"No, no, not at all." Vic held up his hands defensively. "Happy Birthday dude."
"Yeah, happy birthday, uh, sorry all I got you was a card...I-I didn't know what to get you." I handed Alan a card from the inside of my hoodie.
"No worries, you didn't even have to get me a card, but thanks." Alan smiled, opening up the card. "Love the fact it's got Garfield on the front, that's awesome. Thanks Kellin."
"You're welcome."
"And errr, where's mine from you Mr. Fuentes?"
"Oi, you had yours yesterday you cheeky git!" Vic lightly smacked the back of Alan head.
"HEYYYY! No hitting the birthday boy!" Austin returned the smack to the back of Vic's head. "Only I'm allowed to do that! Not that I hit him of course."
"You hit me all the time actually." Alan smirked.
"Only in the way you practically beg me too when we're..."
"WOAH! We don't need to hear that thank you!" Jaime appeared, from what I was assuming was the bathroom. "Hey hey Kellin!"
"Hey."
"Anywayyyy Tony and Mike just popped to the store, they'll be back in a bit. We where thinking just watch some movies, play a few games, chill out, listen to music and have a couple drinks?"
"Sounds good ginger princess." Vic smiled.
"I'm gonna go set up pillows, blankets, chairs and stuff. Hime, can you bring out all the snacks from the kitchen. Vic you can give Kellin a tour as I don't think he's actually been here before have you?"
"Not inside no." I shook my head.
"Okay then, well Vic, you know where everything is. Alan you can help set things up."
"But it's my birrrttthhhdaaayyyyy!" Alan whined.
"Help or you don't get thing you want oh so badly later." Austin winked, instantly we all cringed and chuckled.
"Gross!" Jaime scrunched his nose. "Now we know what they're doing tonight...animals."
"You're just jealous!" Alan stuck his tongue out.
"Yeahh...no...I'm gonna go to the kitchen now." Jaime dashed off.
"Alright, come on then, I'll give you the tour." Vic smiled and motioned me to follow him up the stairs.
