Authors note:

Just giving a little info, if I put this "🌹" in the middle of the text then that means it switches to Signoras POV.

Snezhnayas library might not be as big as Sumerus but it sure was a pain to go through all of the books in the "I" order. You had to read everything to make sure you didn't miss anything important, or she might kill you for not knowing enough.

You looked up from the book and looked to your side, seeing the Guards Signora sent in just to watch you. You noticed a few guards also staring at you, when they noticed you looking they quickly turned their head back straight forward and tried to pretend as if they haven't been looking for a while. You squinted your eyes and stood up, walking towards them.

"I saw you guys, so stop pretending" you frowned. One of the guards were a little nervous and started sweating.

"Uh...are you, alright?"

The guard broke down and backed away from you,

"P-please. Don't hurt me like in those stories we've heard and been told!" he was trembling.

'Stories?'

"What stories are you talking about?"

"Th-the stories of you, g-getting rid of a bunch of Snezhnayans just s-so you could run away..!"

You were a little overwhelmed by this false story.

"I have never harmed anyone for my own benefit. And also, it's easy to escape the Fatui if you've been a part of it for a while" you added the last part proudly. It's strange though, who would tell a false story like this? And why?

"Anyways. You should get back to doing your job. You know how Signora is"

He slowly nodded and stood back straight, you looked at the other guards who also quickly stood back straight. You sighed and shook your head, walking back to the book and reading the rest of it.

'Ah! So it takes about 3 to 4 days to get to Inazuma. Yet its dangerous to get there...hmm, apparently the Shogun has barricaded the seas with a thunderstorm'

You looked out of a big window next to a bookshelf, watching the snow fall.

'This is Snezhnayan technology we're going with though...so it shouldn't be a problem...' you closed the book and put it back to its place.

"Alright you guys, you can bring me to her office now"

They were startled, but nodded and escorted you out. The thick snow under your shoes felt satisfying, the sound it made always made you calm down, it was also one of the only good things in this nation.

"Y/N! Comrade!" you heard a familiar voice from afar.

"Tartaglia..I didn't expect to see you this early already..." you greeted him while proceeding to walk.

"Now that's not how to greet your old friend" he chuckled. "How about a nice duel, just us two?"

The guards looked at him, shaking their head.

"Sorry, but not today. I have to run errands for Signora now, my life is...let's say, in her hands" you gave him a smile, which wasn't really genuine.

"Really?? From being the 6th of the Harbinger to being a servant to the 8th of the Harbinger" he laughed.

"Very funny..."

You arrived back at the Zapolyarny Palace,

"Do you wish to accompany me to her office or why are you still here?" you looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
