With a drop in your stomach you sat down in front of her, staring into her cold icy eyes.

"Proceed, I don't have all day"

How were you even going to explain this? The Shogun was there, the Traveler messed up by mixing themselves into other peoples business, then your instincts just kicked in and you felt like as if you were fighting alongside them again.

"You see.. things happened so suddenly. With just a blink of an eye the Traveler was confronting the Shogun-"

"And you? You thought it was a great idea to, step in and protect them?" she raised an eyebrow. You sighed and held your head, trying to figure out a solution to the problem you just caused. Then the cold started to surround you, you knew what would come, but you didn't think it would already be this early. Signora summoned ice-spikes all around you, moving them closer and closer to your body, slowly injuring it. You didn't plan on dying here and definitely not by her hands.

"I may have an idea how you could get the Gnosis-" the spikes movement quickened and they pierced through some parts of your skin, shutting you up. You groaned in pain and made a hand movement, putting up a shield around yourself, which broke the spikes. She was startled and stood up to break your shield, but you blocked her attacks, increasing your movement speed. Signora couldn't tell where you were, making her summon spikes from the floor.

"Lady Signora! Miss Y/N! Could you perhaps not figh-" the receptionist wanted to break up the fight, but a spike was moving into her direction. You quickly picked her up and moved her to safety,

"Would you please listen to me!?" you sounded frustrated, "You don't have to kill me just yet! If you gave me another chance than we could easily get the job done!"

"Why should I bother with another failure?" she snapped her fingers and sent a cold breeze towards you, trying to freeze you in place, you were quicker though and stood right in front of her, slamming her against the wall behind her and froze her hands.

"I'll travel to Watatsumi Island and learn their plans, slowing down their attack on the Shogun so you can calmly retrieve the Gnosis without any troubles" you explained, "Also, Scaramouche might be on that Island, another good thing for our mission" you added. Breathing felt hard, you were exhausted from adding speed from the adrenaline rush to your movements, the wounds she gave you started to hurt and the floor was just stained with your blood. Signora on the other hand still was shocked from your speed and how quickly you pinned her against the wall, while freezing her hands,

"V-very well. You shall receive your second chance. Remember, your next mistake, will be your last." she answered. You nodded with a victorious smile and fell to your knees, unconscious.

The receptionist and the rest came back from their hiding places and looked at you.

"H-have you two calmed down now..?" a woman asked with a shaking voice. You rolled your eye and kneeled down to Y/Ns unconscious body. Her wounds were pretty deep, almost giving you a feeling of guilt.

'This was her fault. She shouldn't have resisted.' you tried to calm yourself down.

'Ugh. In what way are these wounds her fault?? You caused them, it's your fault!'

You tried to ignore your thoughts and picked up Y/N from the floor,

"Clean up the bloodstains, I do not want anyone to speak of this. Understood?" you glared at them, to which they nodded with a scared nod and they scattered to each corner like little rats.

"You there, bring me some materials to tend these wounds, quickly" the agent who you commanded nodded and ran down the stairs, coming back as fast as possible and bringing the materials you need into your room.

You laid Y/N on to your bed and began to treat her wounds, making sure she wouldn't grow a fever. Some wounds were hard to clean and look at, feeding the guilt you tried to repress. You let out a big sigh and removed your funerary mask, holding your head, breathing in and out. A warmth overcame you, some sudden heat of wave that shouldn't be coming from you, it was a forbidden warmth. Purposely sealed away. This feeling started to grow more than guilt, it was fear, anger, sadness.

You were used to the coldness around you, but a sudden heat woke you up from your unconsciousness. Signora was there, at the edge of her own bed, trying to calm down. You looked at your body and it was patched back up,

'Did she...? No....' you didn't have time to think about that, Signora was having some sort of panic attack. You straightened yourself and turned to her,

"Breathe slowly and deeply." you held her shoulders and tried to cool her body with your cryo powers, you couldn't believe how hot it was, it started to burn your hand but you couldn't care less, you wanted her to calm down. She looked up at you, it shocked you to see a small tear form in her eye, but you kept your focus on cycling her temperature.

"Count to five for me" you said and let her start in her own pace, as she counted, her body gained back its coldness and she calmed down. Seeing her calm also brought back peace to you, it was new to you to see her like this, why did that even happen? What triggered this? And why? You two were silent for a while, just hearing eachothers breathing.

"My apologies. I don't know what happened" she sighed and shook her head, wiping away the tear.

"Don't apologise. This happens to the best of us." you smiled at her and removed your hands from her shoulder. You looked at your palms and they were indeed, a bit bruised and burned.

'How is that possible...'

Signora stood up and grabbed her mask, putting it back on.

"You can stay here for now, I'll be taking the spare room" she said without looking at you.

"No! It's alright. I can go back into my room"

"What did I tell you about being grateful?" you heard a smile in the sentence and just sighed.

"Now that's better" she left and closed the door behind her.

You looked at your hands once more, trying to remember the heat you had in your hands.

'This. I felt this once before.... was it...in a dream?'

Whatever it was, you didn't want it to happen again. Was it because of you? Was it your fault? She patched you up twice now and you just hurt her again.

'I am just no good for her..' you sighed.
