What If...? - A Spin Off Story - Part 1

A/N - Hi, currently I'm struggling to write anything at the moment, but hopefully this one shot about what would've happened if Y/N had waited for the Warriors at the Ocean rather than trying to do it all himself might've panned out. I hope you all enjoy it.

(Year 845, Paradis Island)

The salty smell of the ocean wasn't something that Y/N got to experience often, and it wasn't something that he associated with nice things happening, either to himself or to others. This time it was the arrival of the Warriors, who would help him take down the King of the Walls that he had managed to track down and know where he'd be during a Titan attack nine days ago.

The easy part would be breaking into the walls, he could've done that himself if he had tried to, but he wasn't stupid, and the easiest and fastest way to taking down the Founding Titan would be with the four other warriors by his side as well. He probably could've taken him down by himself if he really tried to, after all, nothing had ever stopped the power of the WarHammer Titan before, but despite his teenage impatience, he wasn't willing to risk him slipping away at the final moments, so wait for the Warriors at the Sea Wall he did, two hours to be exact before he spotted the Survey Ship on the horizon.

Walking down the steps to the actual harbour portion of the Sea Wall built by Marley to turn Eldians into Titans relatively safely, he passed the short amount of time that it took for the ship to arrive and dock by pacing up and down, becoming slightly more irritated and impatient with the lateness in the day that they had arrived at.

It had been nearly a whole year since Captain Magath had laid eyes on Y/N, having seen him off as a Titan, and now seeing him as a human once more, a year long into his mission of finding the Founding Titan, there was only one thing he could say to him.

"What the fuck are you wearing?" Magath questioned in regards to the Cadet Uniform that Y/N was still wearing. "I leave you here for a year, and you're already wearing clothes of the Devil."

"Don't give me that shit. I did what I had to, it's not easy making something from nothing you know." Y/N shot back with. "I found the true King a lot quicker than your precious Warriors would have, they would've been here for years without my help. Speaking of which, did you tell them that I'd be here, or do I have to have that awkward conversation with them and tell them that I've been doing all the work for the past year."

"I've told them you'd be here waiting for us." Magath replied with a grunt. "They didn't seem to mind, but then again, they think they're off to save the world."

Behind Magath, coming down the ramp to the harbour platform were the four Warriors chosen to embark on this mission. Marcel Galliard, Bertholdt Hoover, Annie Leonhart and Reiner Braun, children that had toppled an entire nation by themselves.

"The world doesn't need saving from closed off Islanders Theo." Y/N used Magath's first name to show the true contempt that he now held for the man. "There's a much larger threat that I think needs to be halted before the world truly is saved."

"I'm going to pretend I didn't just hear you say that." Magath warned the teenager.

"Why, you can't fucking do anything to me." Y/N shot back, with the four Warriors standing very awkwardly next to them, listening to it all unfold before their very eyes. "One bad word from me and you'll be a private cleaning dirty toilets again, so don't try pretending you have control over me, because you don't. Out here, I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, and nobody here could stop me if they tried."

Next to them, the four young Warriors continued to stand in silence, with the four of them having gone wide eyed from listening to the conversation, even Annie who was usually stoic was shocked at what she was hearing.
